An ERR: MEMORY is given when there is not enough memory to
perform the instruction or function. To increase available memory by
deleting the contents of any variable (real or complex number, list,
matrix, Y= variable, program, Apps, AppVars, picture, graph database, or
string), follow these steps. • Press [2nd] [MEM] to display the MEMORY menu. • Press 2: Mem Mgmt/Del. • Select a variable or data that needs to be deleted and press [ENTER]. •
Use the arrow keys to move the cursor next to the item, and then press
[DEL]. The variable or data should now be deleted from the memory. When
deleting programs or Apps, a message asking for confirmation will
appear. Select 2:Yes to continue. To leave any variable screen without
deleting anything, press [2nd] [MODE].
First make sure that your Camcorder is in the Disc Navigation mode to be able delete your required scene. When the camcorder is in the play back mode the delete scene won't appear.
The second situation is to check if your scene is not locked because if it is locked you are not able to delete it. Supposing that your scene is not locked then check what type of DVD disc you have. The discs labelled DVD Ram, DVD+RW, and the Card can be deleted. The DVD-RW can be deleted only when in VR mode and not the VF mode. Other types of discs like the DVD R can not be deleted.
Another way of deleting a scene after it has been recorded on a disc that's not deletable is to transfer the recorded scene to a computer disc and then edit it off.
Follow the instructions in the "Deleting Scenes" section of the manual (page 43 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at

You can do it in the computer is that is your route with a card reader.
But deleting single images should be routine
