Question about Mr. Coffee IDS55 Electric Blades Grinder

Open Question

It does not work at all. I have removed the screws ans opened it up to check the electric cords and everything seems fine. I have tried to plug the cord directly with a metal plate so there is no need for the button press but it still doesn't work.

What would cause my electric range to lose all power when using the oven?

One thing to check is the power where it plugs in to the wall. Remove plug and look at male blades on plug. See if any are discolored or burnt looking. If any are replace the cord on stove and have the plug in wall replaced too. If they are discolored or burnt you must replace both parts. You also try to jiggle plug around while it's plugged in to see if that has any effect.
If everything seems ok at outlet, UNPLUG UNIT and remove cover over terminals where line cord connects to stove. Check for burnt terminals ans burnt wires. Also make sure screws are tight.

Won't heat, sounds and looks fine

The Titanic looked fine! :) You have blown a fuse. Check inside the oven chamber and look for missing powder paint or signs of arcing, if so there is a paint to repair microwaves for this issue or else just dispose of the microwave. If the inside is good remove all the screws and remove the cover. Replace the fuse. If the magnetron was making louder noises prior then replace the magnetron. Since the fuse went the giant capacitor is likely bad. While the cabinet is open make sure to look for burned wires, check the continuity of thermal cutoffs, and check the main circuit-board for burned traces or components. The relays in most electronics are known for arcing (spot welding) and staying in the wrong position. Tap them hard with the back end of a screwdriver. During all of this use safe electrical practices by having the power cord unplugged. The capacitor could still have a high charge on it so be careful.

I shut down my Dell Dimension E510 last night and today when I pressed the on button, the computer wont turn on - not even an orange light on the power button. I tried disconnecting all connected...

Try this procedure! click here. After checking your power supply and it is working fine, put it back again into your computer casing. Next thing to do is to check your motherboard switch (power on). Look for the manual of your motherboard and look for the power on switch. If you find it then get a screw driver and short the pin using the screw driver. Be careful not to touch the other pin! But you have to check all the computer components to determine what is exactly the cause why it's not functioning. If it's not turning on your computer while you short the power switch on that means probably your motherboard fail. Other option is, in order to troubleshoot the problem of your computer you must have an extra computer with the same model and plug all your components there one by one to determine what is exactly the problem of your computer. Then you can decide what computer parts need to be replace. Have a nice day!

L1932TQ LCD Monitor won't turn on.

I'm affraid you did about everything you can to find the issue. Trying to isolate the problem is the best way to come close to a solution eventually. But after all the tests you did, it seems that the monitor itself got a problem. I dont suggest you to try to fix it yourself, some electrical parts may need to be electrically discharged before being removed from the monitor. If your monitor is still in waranty, contact LG for support. Otherwise, you could bring it to a local tv/monitor store to see if they can repair it. LG support rep could also give you some advice, maybe they got a certified partner in your area that could take a look at it. P.S. If your computer is on windows XP it should shut down the usual way just by pressing the power button once. The shutdown will be the same as if you go Start->Shutdown->Shutdown the computer.

Need to disassemble the unit.

Disney Cars TV\DVD Combo:
The lug nuts on the tires are plastics caps that hid three screws I was looking for to remove the tires. Once I removed the tires there were 2 screws on each side that I needed to undo and the chassis was gently nursed off.

Upon open the chassis I noticed that the plug wire had a harness on the "business end, it it was disconnected from the circuit board where it "plugged in". Once I plugged it in and then teste to see if the set would turn back on everything was working fine.

No hot water

I guess you have check the settings on the machine.

So I am guessing possibly the acuator (electric) that switches the hot water flow on and off and being initally controlled from the timer circuit. Both hot and cold have actuators. These are usually what the flexible hoses screw into. The will have connections on them inside the machine.

You need to have the machine looked at.

WARNING
If you tamper with or check the wiring yourself, ensure the plug is removed from the powerpoint.
You can still get an electric shock of the neutral wire if it is plugged in, even if the powerpoint is turned off

One Speaker Stopped Working

I too had the left speaker malfunctioning. Luckily, i had the curage to open up the speaker and look into the problem. Before that i checked to see if the input inlet to the amp worked by plugging in the right speaker in the left input inlet. I was able to hear the speaker. If you get that response, then the left speaker is the problem. So i went ahead and opened up the speaker. Do this by taking off the fabric cover. There are those little hose plugs you need to take off with a philips head, just wiggle them out. Unscrew the 4 screws. Use a blow dryer around the edges/sides of the face of the speaker to loosen the hot glue holding the cover together. Once the speaker is warm, try prying off the cover. You can maybe use a flat head screw driver to do so but with gentleness or else you'll scratch up the speaker. So once you have that done, look at the terminal(wires that are soddered to the speaker, to check if connected to speaker. if they are not connected, then you would have to soddered them. If everything is intact, then try moving the little plastic piece connected to the speaker, opposite end of that is the possittive and negative wires connected to the cone. I scrapted/moved around the wires being careful not to puncture the cone with the screw driver to check to see if they were making contact with the terminal. I then connected the plug into the amp and fortunately i could hear the speaker once again. I hope this made sense and worked for you. I was glad this worked cuz i truly love the sound of Z-2300 system for the THX certified sound.Sure glad i didn't have to buy another set.
