Question about Bosch Nexxt WTMC 3300 Electric Dryer

1 Answer

I have a Bosch Nexxt electric dryer. The lint light is blinking but dryer will not start, no clicking no nothing. completely cleaned out lint filter with vacuum cleaner. took top and back of dryer off, appears to be a red reset button, but feels loose. No wires loose, belt looks great. Please help, not sure what is wrong and would like to have fixed before my husband comes home.

Did the belt shut off switch, didn't seem like it did anything when I pushed it, but, did that and somehow was able to get ALL the lint out of the lint trap way down deep and it is up and running. I believe it was the belt shut off switch. Thank you so much, got it fixed right as my hubby walked through the door, and he thinks I am woman of the year! Thanks!

Welcome to FixYa.

There are a couple of scenarios which may prevent the dryer from starting, but I can narrow it down to two probabilities based on your description.

To save time and back and forth dialog, I`ll mention the most likely and what to do about it.

**Unplug the dryer before attempting any repair tips suggested here please...safety first**

There is an auto shut off or emergency kill switch next to the motor which will prevent it to start in the event it was tripped for whatever reason.

It will look like this image below and all you need to do is push it to the right ( from the back )...

i.e.

I have a Bosch Nexxt electric dryer. The lint - e7dd751.jpg

If you`ve already taken the back of the dryer off to gain access you should have no problem.

Either Scenario I alluded to ( the other would be resetting the hi-limit cut out you already referred to, you can see through the back vent opening when the vent is removed and then by pushing the red button in...shown below ) will require the removal of that panel so let me know if you require further assistance to do this.

Keep me posted how you make out or if anything is not clear.

the red button will not push in, so does that mean something needs replaced??

    Hi,

Do it means it is ok is all. If it where tripped you`d be able to push it in, since you cannot, it means it isn`t tripped.

I`d try the belt shut of switch I alluded to in my first picture. It is at the back of the motor behind the belt pulley, push it to the right to set it to the "closed" position.

    Keep me posted.

Bosch Nexxt 500 series dryer, E:01 and lint light flashing. nothing is stuck in the door.

Hi,
This indicates the sensor near the lint filter gets too hot. This is usually caused by bad air flow.
Try running the unit without the vent hose attached. If the problem goes away the problem is in the ducting.
You may need to have it cleaned out. May be lint filter is clogged due to the use of dryer sheets or fabric softener. You can try to clean the filter with Windex.
If neither one of this suggestions resolves the issue there may be a problem with the sensor, there may be heat escaping somewhere within the dryer. This is only resolved by technician.

Good Luck and have a nice day.
Rating the solution is highly appreciated.

Bosch Nexxt Dryer gets warm but laundry doesn't get dry. Dryer stops after about 10 min of running and starts ''beeping''

this could be a faulty moisture sensor. try running the dryer in a timed dry mode and see what happens.also be sure to make sure all the duct work is free and clear and that the lint filter is clean

Dryer not working, indicates "lint filter" When I try to use the dryer (Bosch Nexxt), i first turn the dryer to the setting desired (regular or perm press, and time) it immediately has the "lint filter"...

This is a common complaint with this dryer. The probe generating this problem,is at fault. It likely has a film on it,from the dryer sheets.Remove the lint screen, and wipe down the probe that sticks into the air box.Should fix the problem,if not ,replace the probe.

Bosch Nexxt 800 series dryer E01 error

My wife has a Bosch Premium dryer that had drying problems. The lint filter would get cleaned but the machine still did not operate correctly, as you explained above. Her machine was made in 2005 and the lint screen, the plastic slotted unit in front of the lint filter was the problem. It gets clogged up with hair/lint that never makes it to the filter. I tried a shop vac to vacuum it but the problem was still there. Get a pistol cleaning kit for a 22 cal gun. Pull the lint filter out & then take the pistol rod and insert it from the drum side into each slot and pull out the tons of lint. Pull the lint off the rod when done and take a flame to burn the rest off as the rod is a brass brush with small wires on it.

Bosch Nexxt 500 Plus Elect Dryer Error E01

Absolutely those dryer sheets are the root of all evil....I would also recommend a good vent brush to clean your dryer vent.
Follow these steps, it worked for me:
1. use a shop vacuum to clean out the dry vent or a vent brush.
2. Clean your lint filter with windex, hot water and and soft bristle brush.
If this doesnt work try running the until disconnected from the vent for a cycle to isolate the vent as your issue.

Cheers!

Bosch dryer lint light flashes

My Bosch Nexxt electric dryer had the same problem with the lint filter light blinking and the dryer not running. It turned out that the door switch was not engaging. The service technician informed me that there is a plastic tab (available only by opening the top access panel) that was not fully snapped in place. When he snapped the tab back in place and then secured it with a screw, the door switch fully engaged, the lint filter light went out, and the dryer ran perfectly! I hope that helps you!
