I have a stacked Frigidaire FEZ831CA washer/dryer combo and when running the dryer it makes a very high pitched (AND LOUD) screeching sound. Any ideas as to what might be the problem? Thanks, Sean

screeching sound
Sean, Bad felt gasket body to drum, if belt drive on dryer, it could be worn and slipping, making a screech, or if not the belt, the drum may have a worn bearing on its hub allowing it to run crooked and rub where it should not.

Frigidaire Washer Dryer Combo (Stacked) We had to have the power shut off to our house. Now that it is turned back on, our washer dryer combo won't start.

Thank you for your inquiry, Caroline!

From the information you have provided your Frigidaire laundry center is no longer working. I understand that you had to shut off power to your house and now your laundry center is not coming on. It sounds like you could have a possible short within your timer. I would recommend performing a reset on your laundry center and you can do that by unplugging the power cord for roughly ten minutes. If you continue to have issues with your dishwasher can you provide me with your model number? In order to locate your model number you can find the serial tag and that should be located on the inside wall of your dishwasher. I look forward to assisting you further. -OOS

When we press the button to start the dryer, we hear the buzzing but the dryer does not move.

assume the buzzing quit when you release the start button. Open the dryer door and slowly rotate the dryer drum in a counterclockwise (CCW) direction. Rotate the drum 2-3 revolutions and then shut the door and see if it will start. If it continues to just hum and not start could indicate a voltage issue, motor issue or a friction issue. Open the door again and locate the door switch plunger in the upper or lower corner on the hinge side of the drum opening. Hold the plunger in while someone begins rotating the drum counterclockwise. While turning the drum counter clockwise and holding the door switch plunger inwards press the start button. If it starts, there is likely a friction problem or motor problem.

Dryer start button doesn't work

door switch or possibly the motor. if you hold the door switch in and push the start button have someone turn the drum by hand if it starts running it is the motor

When you press the start button the dryer hums and doesnt turn

first thing you need to do is open the door and try to rotate drum by hand it it is not turn by hand that mean there is some thing stack in your blower fan. if you can turn the drum by hand you need two people to check this problem..one open the door there is one push button, push that button and hold now second person need to push the start button when you heard hums sound the turn the drum by hand again if your dryer stat spin that mean you have bad motor. (forgive me for my english)
