I don think i charged my player for 12 hours but i did charge it for about 5 hours. And i cant on it.... i tried reseting the player but stilll when i press and hold power button it doesnt on !! ANd the lock is not on also !! i use my player but i on it by pressing the reset button all the time ... When i off it also no `Good Bye " comes ..it just comes power off ..Although the power is off the keypad light doesnt go !!!! When i on it also i dont see any "Initiallizing" Sign (i on the player from the reset button )
First just charge it before you go to sleep and dwhen you wake up the next day check....dont ever reset it because all the settings reset also which means the light on the keypad may not work to make light on the keypad...turn it on...scroll down to setup..click it and scrol down to display,,,click that then click backlight and put how many seconds you want it to stay on...mine is 11 sec.(the thing is from 3sec-11sec.)

These players are notorious for battery problems. Charge it all night and you just might get 30 minutes of use out of it before the battery dies. Make sure the slider switch next to the power button on top isn't in the "lock" position as the unit will not power up if it is. I recommend getting a 12 volt car charging plug for it and getting real aquainted with the tiny reset button on the battery side of it. You can get a plug for about $6 that will charge it through the usb cable that came with the player.
The second question, I couldnt work that one out at first, but now i think I understand. If you plug the player into the mains, turn it on, red light shows. Light turns green when battery charged. Do not use until light turns green (if plugged into mains). In other words dont use the player while the battery is charging. If it isnt plugged into the mains then the battery cant be charging and you can use. Until battery gets too low :)
