Question about Price Pfister 532-7PCC Marielle Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet with Matching Soap...

Open Question

The hose on my unit seems to be blocked at the end where the faucet attaches. With the faucet detached I can put the end of an allen key into the hose, turn on the water and get great water pressure. As soon as I remove the allen key, the pressure is reduced to almost nothing. Is there something I can do to repair this? We have already replaced the cartridge but it has not helped at all. Your help is very much appreciated. Thank you. Carol Dover

SOURCE: water trickles out of sprayer head on pull out faucet.

Hi crossroadsjm,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: soaked in vinegar water but did nothing. took off spray head from hose and the water stream is very small in diameter. only 1 year old faucet. could cartidge be bad or clogged? water pressure in rest of house is fine.

It is very possible that some debrie has come up in the water and is partially clogging the faucit. For this you would have to turn the water off and disassemble the parts clearing all the small passages, a bit of wire or paper clip works. Perhaps for a pro? If you like you may choose to utilize our Repair Directory.

SOURCE: Loss of pressure in kitchen faucet - Price Pfister

Your problem is a simple one.

  1. Turn off water to faucet.
  2. Place a towel(s) in the base of the sink(s) to prevent any parts from going down drain.
  3. Remove the handle to the faucet. (single handle only)
  4. If not a single handle then remove spout from faucet.
  5. If a single handle remove cap carefully and any loose parts.
  6. Gently turn spout side to side while lifting to remove.
  7. You will see a hole with a very small valve where the water comes out to the spout on the base of the faucet.

  1. Remove this valve (which is a backflow preventer) and replace.
  2. Reassemble and test.
Problem solved.

SOURCE: We cleaned our price pfister

You more then likely replaced the diverter washer backwards. There is a washer/gasket that has multiple holes (2 or 3) and it is probably just rotated 180 clockwise (or counter).

There are very few moving parts in a faucet so this should fix it.

Yes,it sounds like you have to replace the hose.Follow the braided hose under your sink until you come across a yellow and black fitting . it is comparable to an air hose fitting quick disconnection. once that is pulled from the sink port, unscrew the spray head and pull the ose through the faucet body from above the sink

I have a Frigidaire front load washer model number Ftf2140es0 it will not fill with water. You can hear it click like its trying to fill but there's no water coming in

Here is checklist.
Start with the faucet that supplies the water to the machine.
It is flowing freely?
You will need to detach the washer hose to check that (and put a garden hose to the outside).
If the water is flowing freely from the faucet, then detach the hose to the washer and carefully inspect the filter screen inside the coupling on the back of the washer. The tiny (about 1/2 inch diameter) screen may be plugged up.
If the faucet, hose, and filter screen are good, the water flow solenoid could be defective.
That is the plastic piece where the 2 hoses attach from the outside. It has a wire connector as well.
God bless your efforts.

Dismantle newform faucet

DOU YOU MEAN YOU ARE UNABLE TO TURN THE FAUCET ? IF SO THEN IT MAY BE THAT THE ALLEN HOLE IS NOT JUST A BORDER IT MAY BE YOU SHOULD TRY TO GET THE ALLEN BOLT OUT WITH AN ALLEN WRENCH TO GET THE FAUCET OFF TO SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING STOPPING IT FROM TURNING. IF WHEN YOU PUT IT BACK ON YOU STILL DON'T GET ANY WATER IF IT WILL TURN THAT IS THEN THERE IS SOMETHING PLUGING THE WATER LINE.

I need a replacement handle, including all the parts and hoses, on my Price Pfister Marielle kitchen faucet model # T26-4NEE

Most new kitchen faucets feature single-handle control levers and washerless designs that rarely require maintenance. Additional features include brushed metallic finishes, detachable spray nozzles, or even push-button controls.Connect the faucet to hot and cold water lines with easy-to-install flexible supply tubes made-from vinyl or braided steel. If your faucet has a separate sprayer, install the sprayer first. Pull the sprayer hose through the sink opening and attach to the faucet body before installing the faucet.

Where local codes allow, use plastic tubes for drain hookups. A wide selection of extensions and angle fittings lets you easily plumb any sink configuration. Manufacturers offer kits that contain all the fittings needed for attaching a food disposer or dishwasher to the sink drain system.

Most washer hook up have a drain built into them. Normally the drain is about an inch and a half hole between the two faucets. The hooked end of the big hose just slips down into that hole. If there was a washer there there must also be a drain there at one time. The big hose is where all the water comes out of the washer,

How to put freon in?

Warning: It's a federal crime for anyone not EPA certified to charge a unit.

With that being said,The charging ports are located on the outside unit,You will need the proper set of gauges,an outside ambient air thermometer,a jug of refrigerant,an adjustable wrench, and the proper size allen wrench.

You will need to attach one end of the yellow(center) hose to the tank(leave the valve on the tank closed for now) and leave the other on the gauge manifold,Attach one end of the blue hose (left)to the suction line(the big one) and leave the other attach to the gauge manifold,Attach one end of the red hose(right) to the high pressure line(The small one)and leave the other attach to the gauge manifold. You will then need to take the temperature around the unit(ambient temperature)once this is done, you are ready to charge the unit.

You will need to remove the brass cap on the charging port,Insert allen wrench and slowly open the valve, the pressure on the gauges will rise to the current pressure,You will now need to start the unit and let it run for about 5 minutes or so,until the pressure stabilizes on the gauges. With the temperature from earlier you can begin charging the unit, but without me knowing what the temp is I can't tell you what pressure to charge it to,So the remaining steps cannot be completed.

Power steering rack

jj, here's the procedure:
turn ignition key to locked position and turn steering wheel to the left until the wheel is locked. Remove key.
While vehicle still on ground disconnect the steering column shaft coupler from the steering gear intermediate coupler. Remove the cotter key the nut and the pinch bolt.
Loosen wheel lug, raise vehicle support securely w/ jack stands, remove the wheels.
Raise the insulating wrap on the power steering return hose to expose the hose clamp. Remove the hose clamp and detach the hose, Drain ps fluid thru the hose.
Remove both tie rod ends from steering knuckles.
Remove the 2 bolts and loosen the 3rd attaching the anti-lock brakes Hydraulic control Unit (HCU) to the suspension cradle.
then rotate the HCU rearward to allow access to the cradle bolt and nut just forward of the hcu.
Remove the nuts and bolts attaching the cradle plate to the bottom of the front suspension cradle, then remove cradle plate from cradle.
Remove bracket attaching power steering fluid line to the front suspension cradle.
Detach ps.fluid pressure and return lines from the ps gear.
Remove the 3 bolts and nuts mounting the steering gear to the front suspension cradle.
Lower the steering gear from the suspension cradle enough to allow access to the intermediate coupler roll pin. Install a roll pin remover/installer tool (they always get u with that darn special tool, don't they?) or equivalent set up. Pull the roll pin out of the intermediate coupler. Separate the intermediate coupler from the shaft of the steering gear Remove the steering gear assembly from the suspension cradle. Well, it's too late to give the install procedure, but u seem to have it under control, so let me know if u need more info and how u make out! Merry Christmas!

No suction for use of crevice tools, running hot, then shut off

Obviously no suction in hose would indicate a blockage, over heating is a breaker that shuts off the machine when it over heats. There is no way to clean hose the on this model because the hose does not detach at either end, therefore I had to employ the use of the good old wire hangar. Job complete up and running, with good suction. It is amazing what a prayer to God can do.

I have a water pressure problem with a Grohe Lady Lux Cafe faucet

I solved the problem by unscrewing the part of the handle which attaches to the "pullout" braided cord. There was another strainer in there which has some debris which was blocking the water flow.
