John sounds like a cable problem from the tiller to the rear of your scooter. Power iis getting to the tiller but not back to the controller when you engage the throttle also the seat height is not getting power. I'm afraid you will have to get it checked by a qualified Tech to find out exactly what is wrong. If Medicare paid for the scooter then they will pay for most of the cost of repair.
