Check your stator..this is what charges the battery from the start..then it goes to your reg/rec..this converts it to dc voltage..your stator puts out ac voltage first..then goes to your reg/rec..if either one of these is bad..your battery will never charge.

  • Position the pipe wrench tightly above the drive belt pulley to prevent the crankshaft from rotating when you unscrew the drive belt pulley.

  • 3

Fit the proper-sized socket onto the bolt that holds the drive belt pulley to the base of the engine's crankshaft.

  • 4

Hold the pipe wrench with one hand, and with your other hand unscrew the bolt using the socket wrench.

  • 5

Pull down on the pulley until it slides off the crankshaft. Slip the drive belt off the pulley.

Will not crank over to start and nothing electrical works. Just installed a new battery. What can cause this problem? It was working fine when parked 3 weeks ago.

Test the battery with a voltmeter, if good, check connection to battery. Has to have a real good ground.

I have a 2011 rzr. the winch worked corretly the first time using it. Now when you push the out switch it goes in. Please help.

Sometimes the winch cable can become pinched or bind up in the spool. This will make it act like it is going in when the out position is pushed. Try hooking your winch up to a post and turning it to free wheel on the winch, then slowly back the RZR up about 10-20 feet. This should be enough to free up any spots in the cable. Turn the winch back in to operating position, and try pressing the in and out on the switch to see if operation is normal. Otherwise someone may have switched the cables going into the winch, 1 yellow and 1 blue. Let me know if you need any more help, Daniel.

Starter was turning over fine sounded like batt. juice was low now sol. clicks but no juice to starter batt. is new and hot

If you have a test light, I would put the test light on the starter side of the solenoid, not the battery side. Try starting the atv, if it lights up, solenoid is good and there is an issue with the starter. Start with that, if it's clicking more than likely the starter is getting power but it can't do anything with the power. Sounds like the brushes in the starter are going bad, which can be replaced way cheaper than a starter. Another way to tell if it's the solenoid or starter is to place a jumper (flat blade screwdriver) across the terminals on the solenoid, if the starter cranks your solenoid is bad. Be sure to use an insulated jumper as the steel will get VERY hot. Let me know if this helps and if you need any more help. Good luck, Daniel.

this sound to me like at first I thought it was a fuse, as the problem went on it shifted more toward a weak cell in the battery, if a weak cell sits for a little while the battery will not hold the charge in that cell and that will cause loss of power, "its charge", in tne other cells. you had mentioned you used another battery and it ran great but when the battery was removed, things went wrong. You may check to see if there is water in your battery

you hav a drain somewhere in the wiring or a device is left on--was the new batt charged properly--recharge batt start car then disconnect until u find the reason for drainage

    Stalling

Check your batteries, they might be ready to die. Stalling is a sign your are not getting enough power to the scooter and when you do, it runs until they run low again. Kinda like a cell phone batt, ones it dies and you wait awhile you can get it started but only for a couple of minutes before dying again.

    Service airbag light stays on

I have a 2007 chevrolet silverado and my service airbag light came on. I was out camping with the sterio going and ran the batt low but their was enough juice to restart after about 10 min. On the way home the service light stayed on and i just fixed the problem which was a fuse under the hood in the main fuse pannel. It is very common due to low voltage on start up to blow a 15 amp fuse.
