Dear friend, i do have one exactly the same. The best thing you can do is put water inside the machine and leave it on for hour an hour at least. Try that.

No steam coming from frother

If you are getting hot water from the grouphead to make coffee then the nozzle at the end of the steamwand could be blocked, use a paperclip to clear. If the problem is not fixed after cleaning nozzle then machine need to be descaled.

Hi, my 4 year old gaggia classic coffee machine's steamer no longer works. The coffee bit still works fine, but when i twist the knob to let the steam through, nothing happens. Can this be fixed easily?

It could be that the nozzle is blocked, and or the steam valve is blocked. Try descaling machine, if that does not help then you might have to remove steam valve to make sure it is not blocked.

No steam

Is the coffee hot or cold?

If hot then the steam wand is clogged, try inserting a paperclip in the hole(Remove the parnello black plastic covering silver steam wand) at the end of the nozzle.

If cold then the element is not heating, if you remove the top panel on the machine there is a thermostat on the boiler. That might be damaged, some of them are resettable (it will have a red or brown pin in the middle) if it is a resettable one then push in the pin, if not then it will have to be replaced.

Gaggia classic not producing hot coffee

Two questions; is the water coming out of the head without coffee hot and can you get steam out of the wand?. If yes to both then try running the group with the portafilter in it to warm that up before making a coffee.

Where do I locate the fuse for the steam nozzle of the Gaggia Classic? - the coffee brews but no steam will come out to froth up -I was advised it was probably the fuse -all othe rparts have been cleaned

If the coffee brews hot then the problem is a blockage on the steam valve nozzle or line. Try removing steam wand and opening valve to see if it works, if it does the problem is in the wand that has been removed. Dismantle parnello and using a paperclip clear out the hole in the end of the steam wand.
