look on the back of the amplifier. there will be a sticker that lists the voltage, amps and tada! watts. the wattage of the amp should be higher than the wattage of the speakers. that being said, DO NOT TURN UP THE VOLUME TOO HIGH!!! you WILL blow your speakers!!! also, make sure the wattage of the speakers are not too low, 50watts difference is the most you want to go, any higher and it will not be worth it. good luck! cheers!

Unfortunately the technics site is in chinese or japanese and has absolutely no products on it at all. but, judging from the model #, i would say that it is probably a 450 watt amp. this is fairly typical for amp names/model#s, however, logitech does not use this, they seem to use the number of channels as the first number in the series, then use the wattage. some others use other different naming schemes. but this is generally correct.

I have Speaker system aiwa SX-WNT9 Speakers 2 nos.Impedance 6 ohms/6 ohms.kindly tell me how me how much watt capacity amplifier is required for good sound.

Wattage is not the total solution to the problem. The amount of wattage an amp supplies is related to how loud you listen to the music AND how much power is left over so the amp can deliver when needed and not clip the available output signal and cause distortion.

Output wattage of sony speaker system model ss-cfx250

Passive speakers don't have an output wattage rating, that would be applied to the amplifier :-) The INPUT wattage rating of these speakers is 5 watts RMS per speaker.

Can u tell me what amp I need to run my 2 x 400w EV sb122 bass speakers and 2 x 300w EV sx300w top speakers

The wattage listed on the speakers is the peak wattage the speakers are rated to handle. You need amplifiers that do not exceed that maximum. A 50 watt amp would drive them fairly well but you would do better with a 100 to 200 watt amplifier. Note: the speaker rating is peak power handling. Amplifiers these days are usually rated at peak output too but sometimes (old or very high quality) amplifiers are rated at sustained power (RMS). If you are working with one of these amplifiers you will need an amplifier with a lower rating. Also make sure the amplifier is designed to run the same load as the speakers. This is usually either 8 ohm or 4 ohm. Make sure the speakers and amplifier are rated the same.

Need a good 500 watt cd player not sure what to buy

Before you go off on a wattage hunt you should learn what that means.

Search the web for subjects such as "amplifier wattage vs speaker wattage" for starts.

Don't buy into what manuafacturers CLAIM for wattage if it ADDS all the channels together and FAILS to specify a bandwidth and an acceptably low distortion figure. REPUTABLE makers specify watts per channel, all channels driven at no more than X distortion (typically well under .1%) and, at minimum, across the audio bandwidth or 20Hz - 20kHz.

Any garbage cheapo amp (meaning most shelf systems or all-in-one packages) can put out a lot of dirty power which will strain THEM and possibly kill your speakers. CLEAN POWER is what you want.

Dosome reading and search the web for whatever you are considering, and add the word 'scam' to the search. Get opinions from actual owners. There are a lot of unscrupulous people out there selling garbage to people on the streets.

I have a Kenwood KDC-MP435U radio in my car and when ever I turn in up kinda loud it will shut off and come back on on its own. Any idea why this is or how I can fix it?

The wattage of the speaker is higher than the required wattage of the stereo. The stereo cannot drive the speaker very well. Use an amplifier if you want to have a loud sounds. Or if you already have sound set-up make sure that you have a capacitor for your amplifiers and fuses to support the power input to your stereo.

What do you mean by the subs should have more watts than the amp.and subs mean woofer ? actually i dont know any thing abt this. what is 8 ohm stereo, 8 ohm bridged,4 ohm stereo. etc etc...?

If your planning on using a stereo system in your car or home you need to follow some rules otherwise your just wasting money. The watts of a speaker means how much power it can handle. The higher the number the more power it can handle, and usually the louder it can get without distorting. If your amp has more power or close to the wattage rating of the speaker you will blow the speaker, it can even get so hot it ignites. The amount of ohms is the electrical resistance the speaker provides. House speakers usually have 8 ohms where car speakers tend to use 4. 8 ohm stereo means your left and your right are separate channels and each speaker has 8 ohms. 8 ohms bridged means you bridge the left and right channel to increase the power output of the amp and you have to use either 1 8 ohm speaker, or 2 4ohm speakers in parallel to prevent damage to the system. Same goes for 4 ohms. If I remember correctly you want your sub(woofer) to have a wattage rating 20% higher than the amp. Remember if the speaker overheats its no good, but most amps if they overheat they just shut off until they cool off, but only if they state they have a thermal overload protection.
