Solution one and two no workee for me either.......think I did what lcolpoys did. Plug your camera into your computer and bring up the picture file (don't open) Number was "999" I changed it to "900" and happy to say I am back in the picture taking business again. BUT....why DON'T the factory instructions work and why cannot that camera (Fiji A340) just rollover on its own, without being so mysterious about it all??

More of a comment than a solution, solultion #1 posted July 25...THANK YOU!!! I had taken it to a photo shop and they told me the camera was done and I needed to replace it. I have spent the last 6 weeks trying to fix it and the power button thing was NOT working. I have a Fuji FinePix A825 in case anyone else has this same problem with their camera.

Again---THANK YOU!!

Solution 1 and 2 did NOT work for me, but I went into the files (pictures) stored on the memory card and renamed them all (just deleted the first digit, eg, DCF9999 became DCF999, but you try whatever names you like) and it works again. I did then renew the frame numbers but I could not do this before I renamed the picture files.

The camera sat too long with no batteries and the internal number counter used for naming the pictures has been forgotten. Click Menu, Set-up, and search for Frame No. There are two options: Renew and Cont. Select Renew. Take a picture, then switch back to Cont.

Can I recover deleted photos on my fuji film fine pix t190

Chances of Fujifilm Finepix photo recovery can be high as long as you act as soon as possible and stop using the digital camera to take more photos or videos, also keep the camera memory card in good shape (no physical damage).

Then you can rely on a digital camera data recovery software to get the job done and retrieve your photos. Here shows a list of good ones working under Windows or Mac:

You'll need to connect the camera (mass memory card) to your computer. Then install the program to start scan & recover your files.

I have a Finepix z10 and am having a problem. Last night I was using it to take pictures and it was fine until it said memory full, which was a possibility but I was surprised. When I looked at it this...

This is a special problem and I would direct you to contact directly about this problem with the memory card.

I'm not sure how to retrieve all of the photos that are missing that you took beyond the 60 photos that showed up.

New xD M+ card won't work in the digital photo frame.

Alot of the digital photo frames will only display images up to a certain resolution. There is a good chance your camera resolution is too high for the photo frame. try change the settings on your camera to 3mp or so and take a few photos and see if they will display.

Fuji frame no full

I had the same problem. Here's what I think is going on: the camera has a finite set of numbers that it can assign to pictures. If it is set to "continuous," then every picture that you take gets assigned a new number (even after you delete them off the card). To fix this, you need to set it to "renew" the picture numbers. Here's how to do this: Menu --> Setup --> Frame No. --> Renew.

Hope that helps!

'Card not Initialized'

I just had the same issue with my Fuji F10 Finepix camera and of course all you can get the camera to do is tell you 'card not initialized'...and nothing else works! I resolved it by attaching the camera to the MAC, accessing the camera files thru the MAC by going to the icon that pops up on the desktop for the camera, deleting the files in the camera Fuji directory, then detached the camera and it was all back to normal. I assume that could have also been done the same way on a PC via USB port, accessing the camera via 'My Computer'. I believe the root cause was: I had accessed the photos on the camera via the MAC and iPhoto, then after transferring the photos to the MAC, deleted the photos thru the iPhoto delete option. This in fact did not delete the photos on the camera, somehow causing this 'card not initialized' condition. CW
