My unit is a Cinego D-1000 Home Theater Protector.

I not that great at using this FixYa site, so I hope that I asked for the correct type of device. My Cinego is a Digital Media Player, Right?

It has been unplug for quite a while now. I took it to the other room away from any remotes, but it still flashes on and plays the DVD for just 2 seconds and then goes back to "Searching".

    I hope you can help,
    Thanks for you time.

I just now turn My Cinego D-1000 power off with it's remote, and I will turn it on after it gets done powering down, but it still is having the problem of not holding onto what it searches and finds. it plays the DVD that is in the unit, but only for 2 seconds and the returns to "searching"

    Got any ideas?

When I push the set up button, the screen finally shows the setup, for 1 second and the goes blank (blue) and flashes Searching, the blank again. It doesn't hold on anything long enough to arrow through to select anything before going back to repeating "searching and blank (blue).

    Thank You for the information.
I am at least happy to know that I don't need to spend anymore time with checking for answers. I do appreciate the time taken by you and the others to answer, but I wonder: When I paid for a solution here on FixYa, the box " get a solution or don't pay" sold be on the price requested. How does this work and what do I do next regarding the charge on my credit card?

Sorry to tell you but the control processor from your projector is stuck in a loop due to internal faults. This can't be fixed, the entire mainboard on which the processor is glued must be replaced. You will have to take it to a dealer, they are the only ones that have replacement boards for your projector.

Hi,

Try unchecking the "auto source select" box. Push the setup button on your remote (bottom row, second from the right), use the arrows (7, 0 , 9, or 5) to move across to "management" and down to "auto source select." Make sure it is unchecked (by higlighting it and pressing Enter, which is the 8 key). Please post your feedback and Vote if the problem resolved as per your satisfaction.

Hello,

First of all put off the system for some time to relax it self but,

What this indicate isthat you will have to check round the remote to see if the remote has a code system where it can address several units of the same model type in the same room(universal).
However, there is a switch on the front that will have 2 or more positions when this option is present. The idea is to be able to separately command a number of these units in the same room.
Carefully read the instruction manual for the remote if any . If it still does not work, take the remote back to the store and get a universal remote
Or if possible, take the unit with the remote to the store and let them try to make it work

Hope this solution help to solve this problem?

Thank you and thanks for using fixya.

    Hello,

Please note thi peace of information if the first solution could not reach the proble then you will have to carefully unscrew (open)the cinego screws with a screw driver a technicisn tools then trace then lens connected to the panel that read the memory of what ever devic you which to play with ,

However, what this simply indicate is that the lens of the devic has develope littel weaknes that will need service or replacement whcich has not allow the remote of the system to carry out it function,to solve this fisrt os all clean up the lens carefully with cutton bord (wood) to remove any form of dirty around the lens, please when doing this do not add any liquid solution on the surface of the len then couplr it back and plug it to power to een the respond ,if this then fail then it means that you will have to replaec the lens (becouse it now weak ).

    thank you once again.

There are two fans on the right side. If one stops working, the Cinego will have the symptoms you have described. You need to send it in for repair. A local Radio Shack will tell you where to send it.

Looking at it from the front of the projector so it would be the left side. I went according the the projector's fan air intake and then blowing it out to keep cool. It worked fine. Good luck.

D-1000 Cinego

I would try cleaning the fan or possibly watching the fan and make sure it continues to spin nearing the 10min window. Also those fans can be intermittant or fail when the become warm or the bearings could be going bad or gawling. Is the fan noisy at all? Also the lamp could be going bad or the ballast power supply. Projectors are tricky puppys. But you may also check the safety switch near the opening for the lamp. There should be some sort of blue switch which is closed or activated when the cover for the lamp is put back on. Hope this help you out. Let me know if it does. I am trying to become and expert advisor. Thank you in advance. Jay

I have problem wiht Cinego D-1000

While it is frozen on that "Searching" screen, hold the SRC button down on the actual projector for an extended time. Then after letting it up, hit it briefly one or two times until it finds a source. Make sure that under Projector Setup/Management/ "Auto Source Select" is checked. This brought my Cinego back from the dead.
