Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55 Digital Camera
I have a Nikon Coolpix L14 and since Friday it keeps making noise & says Lens error on the LCD screen. I have tried doing what the Nikon website says by putting in new battery's but the problem is still happening.I am currently in Exmouth Western Australia and the nearest Nikon service centre is in Perth. I am heading up2 Darwin then doing a 10 day trip from Alice Springs to Melbourne via Adelaide. Do you know any quick solutions to fix the camera?
I've had the same problem for a few weeks, its so frustrating. I wish there was a reset button or something.

Not without opening her up, What sort of noise? clicking or grinding.
If grinding its likely you have contaminated the lens with something, maybe dust or grit.
If its clicking then its most likely the lens has taken a hit and damaged a gear
Either way any change in noise from a lens isn't a good sign, sorry
If taking pictures is important on this trip I would certainly recommend getting this one attended to or finding a backup
best of luck
