you undoing the knob the right way to loosen it

How do I remove the head off my bolens bl110 weed eater

if you want to put in new trim line
the knob is left hand thread so to get it off you will have to turn it as it you are doing it up
if you want the whole head of the shaft , there will be a clamp/screw/retaining bolt that you remove and pull the whole lot off the shaft

Remove ryobi S430 trimmer head

it has a left hand thread which means that to unscrew it you have to turn it in a clockwise direction like putting a nut on a bolt

How to fit brushcutter to ryobi petrol strimmer. I have the tools but have lost the nuts etc, can I replace them? But will still not know how to fit the Tri-Ark

the nuts on weed eaters are usually left handed threads, they do sell them at a hardware store and I am sure the other parts you need you may have to go to a small engines sales/service. Hope this helped Tim

you can replace the head of the unit as it is bolted on left-handed threads, Lowes, HomeDepot, Wally world, Kmart, basically any discount store sells replacement heads for weed-eaters. hope this helped Tim

Sounds like the clutch has taken a long trip south. If the clutch pads are not wore out, try some wd40 on the pad hinges.

They usually have a hex-head bolt cast inside the plastic knob, the head starts spinning inside. You might be able to loosen the knob by gripping it with Vice-Grips really tight, then get a new knob. Should be right-hand thread.
