How do I remove the head off my bolens bl110 weed eater

if you want to put in new trim line
the knob is left hand thread so to get it off you will have to turn it as it you are doing it up
if you want the whole head of the shaft , there will be a clamp/screw/retaining bolt that you remove and pull the whole lot off the shaft

I can not remove the top off the weed eater to

They usually have a hex-head bolt cast inside the plastic knob, the head starts spinning inside. You might be able to loosen the knob by gripping it with Vice-Grips really tight, then get a new knob. Should be right-hand thread.
