Question about Sony PSP (Piano Black)
Aside from dropping it or stepping on it (or putting it through torture like this guy did of whom I helped: http://www.fixya.com/support/t5764136-yeah_1_day_just_palyin_music_psp)
we will not be able to help you. FY is meant for any technical questions you may have (i.e. buttons broken, screen display frozen, catches fire when you press the triangle button) and we will not be held responsible for assisting in voiding your waranty.
Please friend, take my advice, it's completely not worth it. If you attempt this you will void your waranty AND any chance of getting it fixed with or without a waranty; if something goes wrong or you don't do it right you're going to be out of a PSP. This is an expensive handheld system that's great to have, take it for what it's worth and play it the way it was meant to be played.
Please, we cannot give you guidance on your question. I ask that you give me a good rating for taking the time to explain what Fixya is meant for and for the friendly advice.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
