Question about Acer AL1715 17" LCD Monitor
Hi, my screen has a pink happening with it, any idea whats happening. thanku
When your screen starts to act funny it is most likely a bad part inside of the monitor. Replacement parts are cheap but because of all of the capacitors inside the screen it will cost much more money to repair.
Have you done diagnostics's on the monitor? If not I can see what I can do to help you find the problem. I will give you detailed instructions on how to run diagnostics on your screen if you need.

It could be one of 2 things.
#1 A broken wire in the cable between the computer and monitor. You will be ale to test this by moving the cable in a circular motion close to the computer and then close to the monitor to see if ti corrects the problem.
#2 A failing CCFL (the light tubes inside the monitor). If this is the case then it's not normally cost effective to have repaired. The part is not expensive, but the repair cost can be high due to the high risk nature of the repair. One slip while doing this operation can cause a complete failure of the physical LCD panel. The driver tabs that connect the panel to the controller baord are extremely fragile.
