I typed in rainsoft manual on search bar and it took me to the page with all the manuals and instructions. You will need to have downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader to read any of it. Adobe is a free app.

One of the gears on my intermatic timer broke. I've been trying to find a supplier to purchase the gear from, but have been unable to.It's a Rainsoft water softener.I contacted the local Rainsoft dealer and...

You might try contacting Intermatic directly:

As a serviceman myself, I can tell you that selling parts for stuff ends up with serviceman spending time on the phone helping to repair the thing for free. Not just that, but servicemen have to salvage parts and know which parts to salvage, and then inventory the parts, and remember where all that dang stuff is ... and with overhead, and cost of labor and trucks, the part costs the same as a service call. So hire the guy or buy a new one.

Also take advantage of fixya phone service.
For a price, expert speaks with you over phone while you work on timer or any do-it-yourself project.
Fixya is always less expensive than a service call.

Installed new sink today had to remove the rainsoft system and put it back, now the connecton at the top of the watertank is leaking slowly - any suggestions?

If you are meaning a pipe Threads on top you must put plumbers pipe dope or teflon tape on the threads. Always put on fresh teflon each time fitting is removed. I hope this has answered your question. Please rate if the answer has helped in any way. Good Luck and have a great weekend.

I HAVE A RAINSOFT UV AIR FILTER IN MY AIR DUCT WHERE DO I GET REPLACEMENT BULBS, AND WHAT IS THE PROPER BULB AND SIZE?

Cleanwater also has them. Clean them with rubbing alcohol, do not let your fingers touch the bulbs. And check your 24V ac adapter. If it starts going you will get a power light but the other lights will come and go. I have one and the bulbs are nearing the end of life, not a cheap fix.

I need a timer motor for the silver series rainsoft water filters. The part number is 19032, can't seem to find.

It appears your timer has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question
