Oil pump seems to only work at high rpm/ a lifter or valve is ticing on driver side need to know what to do its soposed to be new motor

no oil pressure at low rpms is most likely caused by sludge in engine i had a car once that had no oil pressure at all loud ticking on rocker arms my advice that my dad gave me was drain all the oil buy 2 gasllons of diesel put on gallon in oil (has enough oil in it to lubricate but will not burn like gas do to no spark and not enough pressure) run with the diesel in it for 5 minutes drain that gallon of diesel and put second gallon of diesel in and run for an additional 5 minutes when you drain that last gallon of diesel it should be a brown color but still transparent change filter and put new oil in and check to see if that has solved your problem

Dealer said oil sensor on ml320 needs replaced. what does this do?

Your engine oil sensor is a pressure switch used to send oil pressure information to the dash, be it an idiot light or gauge. It is a critical part since your engine will seize up if there is low oil pressure. Replace the sensor or have it replaced. Have the engine tested with a handheld gauge. These are available at any auto supply store.

I have a 2001 Ford F350 Superduty. When it is cold out side it leaks diesel from the fuel filter/water seperator. So far this only happens when it is cold outside. If I plug the truck in it does not do...

Hi,
the diesel system on your vehicle works on a continous 'loop". Tank to engine....engine to tank. The fuel filters and the water separator are very susceptible to the diesel fuel 'clouding" , making the fuel heavier to push around the system. The 'clouding' is actually a type of wax which is normally held in suspension within the body of the fuel and thus is not a problem.

The wax starts to plug up the fuel system, and cause lots of problems. The fuel, being harder to push around the system, takes more pressure to move it. This will result in diesel leaqkage at any and all outlets to atmosphere at the pressure end.

The problem is usually resolved by adding an additive to the fuel tank, or having a water separator with a heater., There are also weap-around heating cables which can be fitted to fuel lines to aleviate the same problem. If your water separator has an automatic dump valve, you might like to check that it is functioning correctly and the water content is not freezing and providing an exit for the diesel fuel.

Good luck.

What kind of oil do i use

Any good 20W-50 should work just fine in it. Also I like to use diesel oil in air cooled engines. Something like Rotella 15W-40 should be a great oil for your machine.

Hi I just bought a Honda pressure washer. The

You just bought it which means it is under warranty. Take it back where you bought it or call Honda. You must have the vent plug installed to use the machine. If it is blowing oil out the vent plug then it is either overfull or it is building up pressure for some reason. Make sure it is not overfull and if not, then call Honda and avail yourself of the warranty. If it is overfull, remove enough oil to get it to the proper level.

Oil ran out while driving..plug had came out. put oil & plug in & truck will not start. 2002 ford f250

You ran the truck out of oil? If so then you have seized the engine up and it wont start again. If your lucky the engine could be rebuilt using the same block but the internals will all need to be replaced.

How to change oil in a pressure washer

From the manual CleanShot 2050 Briggs and Stratton

Change Pump Oil
1. Drain engine oil and fuel from pressure washer
2. Use an 8 mm allen wrench to remove black pump oil cap between high pressure outlet and garden hose inlet.
3. Tiltl pressure washer to drain oil into an approved container until it drips slowly from pump.
4.Tilt pressure washer in opposite direction and empty premeasured pump oil bottle into same opening (a small funnel may be helpful) [THIS IS WHAT THE MANUAL SAYS-NOT CLEARLY WRITTEN IN MY OPINION OR WRITTEN BY SOMEONE FOR WHOM ENGLISH IS A SECOND LANGUAGE]
5. Install black pump oil cap and tighten firmly.
6. Set pressure washer in upright position. Add fuel and engine oil.

From the engine manual use synthetic 5w-30, 10w-30 from -20 degrees F to temperature of 100 degrees F.
Change oil after 5 hours of operation initially. Before tipping to drain oil, remove fuel from fuel tank by running until tank is empty. Remove oil cap and dipstick and tip engine. Keep spark plug side up. Or remove drain plug from the bottom of pressure washer with a ratchet and square extension and drain oil from bottom. (fuel does not have to be removed)

Changing engine oil on a gx390 engine for pressure washer excel

On the very bottom of the motor is a square plug to drain the oil. The machine must be elevated to allow the oil to flow into a drain pan. If you don't see a square plug then look for a small 1/4 inch tube coming from the bottom of the crankcase with a hex cap on the end of it. If you cannot find either of these, then you must turn the pressure washer on its side and drain it through the same plug you fill from.
