Question about Gateway FPD2275W LCD Monitor

No Lights, No Power

My FPD2275W will no longer turn on when plugged in. The blue power button no longer lights up either, which makes me think that the power supply has gone bad. Other forums say this is a common problem with the FPD2275W. Any suggestions or links to a replacement power supply for the FPD2275W would be much appreciated, thanks!

powered down system using power strip as system froze and power button on computer was not responding. powered back up but only the computer is working, i have no power to the monitor. i have tried other power sources and another power cord, but that has not rectified the problem. gateway is suggesting i buy a new monitor (this one is 14 months old). Any suggestions?

power button is always Orange (stand-by), even when comp is up and fully functionable, the power light stays orange. Now when i power down the comp it does one of 2 things...turns off or stays lit, like in stand-by.

Yea same problem. Absolutley nothing happens. When it happened to me it was less than a month over warranty and they told me to pound sand. This company has the worst customer service ever as well as **** equipment. Do yourself a favor and buy dell or hp, at least you'll get more than a year out of them.

No power light coming on or sound effects when you plug it in is usually caused by the video board having gone bad.
I haven't figured out exactly what part goes bad on these, but I believe it is in the main chip.

Hi, it sound like that your monitor is totally dead. You can also try replacing the power cable just for us to know the caused of that issue. and after replacing the power cable it only means that the power supply of that monitor is not functioning well. You can take that monitor to the nearest service center in your area or call your monitor vendor for service.

My Compaq Presario F756nr will not turn on. The blue light to the power cord is on and blue light on front of laptop is orange but when you press the power on button it comes on then goes right off.

Hold the Power button and at the same time attempt to continually press the button for the CD/DVD drive. Continue until the status lights for power, hard drive and power button stay on for 3 seconds or longer. When status lights remain on, remove your finger from power button and allow the machine to boot as usual. Enjoy.

I am having problems setting up coralife aqualight power center

You need to plug them into the two yellow outlets, not the blue ones. The blue outlets are for night lights if you have them. Set the timer for 6 and stop at 12am. If you plug them into the two yellow outlets they should go on at 6 and turn off at 12, however If you also plug something into the blue outlets they will turn on as soon as the yellow outlets turn off, it's sopposed to switch from your day lights to your night moon lights automatically provided you got the moon lights plugged in the blue outlets. Hope this helps....

Power up show the pc name and then it trun it self off trun it back on and I cant even get the meun to show up

need to replace two capacitors on the ccfl side of the main power board. CCFL is where 4 plugs from the lights in the LCD plug in. You will see brown or burned capacitors, which were probably blue. One on each side of the board. The replacement part is Digi-Key Part Number P9643-N. This is a known issue with gateway monitors.

No video on my Gateway fpd2275w Monitor

First things first a quick check list:
1 Make sure monitor plugged in.
2 Turn on monitor. If there are words and instructions displayed then there is power in monitor. Green light for power next to buttons, etc. If there is no warnings or alerts on the screen. Then we have a power issue to the monitor. Or your back light has gone out preventing you from seeing welcome screen alerts etc.
3. If there is welcome screen alerts etc. then check your plug to the PC. If its connected, then your settings on your PC for the monitor are not configured. If you have two of the same plugs on your computer for the monitor. switch them and roobot. Let me knows how this worked out. Thanks.

The on off button on front doesn?t turn the unit off and on

Same here, your light went out if you put a VERY bright light on you'll be able to see something on the screen if you plug it up to your computer, if you are getting a new one go dell its worth it becase they last and are durable.

Power light coming on and sound effects when you plug it in but no lighting of the screen is usually caused by the power inverter board having gone bad. Once in a while it is a bad bulb.
