Question about Minolta XG-2 35mm SLR Camera
The battery chamber is on the underside of the camera next to the tripod mounting hole. Use a coin to unscrew it. The battery chamber holds two silver oxide SR44's; these are very commonly available still and relatively cheap, but you need to make sure that they are silver oxide SR44's and not lithium LR44's. LR44's are precisely the same shape and size, but have the wrong (lower and inconsistent) voltage. They won't damage your camera in the least but will cause inaccurate light meter readings.
