yep - jut out of the blue one day about a month ago. and it sounds like it is coming from the bottom hinge of the door. i don't think lube wuld do the trick since it sounds like it jumping trcak - for lack of a better descript - so i guess a repiar man is in order. thanks

Hmm, this is a very strange problem. Did it just start making this noise out of the blue one day? Can you tell, is it coming from one of the joints in the hinges? That would be my thinking is that the hinges themselves somehow are wearing out, may just need some lubrication, or possibly replacement.

Let me know, is this what you are referring to?

Thanks
Tim

No problem, and you are probably right, it is "popping" off the track, and a repair person is the best way to go.

    Thanks

I have a whirlpool gold side by side that makes aloud popping noise when opening and closing right door

Sounds like the door closer is bad or screw loose . Remove the top hinge cover and the 3 screws holding the hinge . Remove the food from the door first . After removing the 3 bolts , lift the door from the bottom hinge . You can tell by looking , if closers need replaced or if the screw needs tightening . If closers need replaced , both come in 1 package ( 1 for the door and 1 for the bottom hinge .)

Fridge motor is loud when doors closed stops when open-3.5 yrs old- first time same problem fixed with replacing sensor 2/08 now sensor broken again???

the fan goes off when door opened and when closes it will turn back on is normal operation of fan and door control --as to noise --fan may be failing ---iced over ----if seal failing will cause unit to run more and allows more moisture into evap which can cause more ice over

Strange noise when door is open, light barely flickers, LED out.

I would try replacing the bottom door cam assembly. I have also seen the actual cabinet making a popping noise during opening which is there is no cure for that.

Load noise coming from freezer

nothing to do with light bulb - noise is probably fan hitting ice that has built up. to check, remove back panel inside freezer and check for ice build up. melt off with a hairdryer and get back to me if i'm right

Right Door is making loud popping noise

After reading these posts, I fixed my refrigerator door in less than 5 minutes. The little black plastic cam on the bottom hinge was loose. To fix it, take the hinge cover off of the top with an 8mm socket, and remove the three 8mm screws holding the top hinge on. Remove the door by lifting up off of the bottom hinge and set it aside. On the bottom hinge is a black plastic cam held on by an 8mm screw. The screw on mine was really loose. Tightening it and putting the door back on made it work like new. You probably don't have a bad cam, just a loose one.
