Question about Fujitsu Plasmavision P42VCA30EH 42 in. Television

Open Question

Our Fujitsu plasma is around 7 years old and has developed a picture problem - a white band about 4 cm down the full length of the screen. On closer inspection it looks like 10 separate white vertical lines down the screen abot 4mm apart. It is not a permanent problem, but it comes and goes but is prevalent most of the time. I know plasma's have a finite lifespan - is this the beginning of the end or is there another explanation? Dave R

SOURCE: Black screen after 5 minutes of use with Fujitsu PDS-420 plasma

Sorry to inform you my freind, but the main board has to be replaced in this beast. Could get expensive. there are no schematics and or componets listed to repair this module. Its a board level repair only. Try going to ptscorp.com, find their phone number, and see if they repair these boards. if not you will need to contact the manufacturer for replacement boards. good Luck Please do not forget to rate this thread.,

SOURCE: Fujitsu Plasma Screen won't power up

This is most likely caused by the Main Power pcb.

See Fujitsu Service Bulletin on this problem in a similar model from Fujitsu. -see link below
http://tomtom2k5.free.fr/fujitsu/PDP-0035-06.pdf

A competent service technician should be able to implement the service bulletin.
A similar service bulletin is probably available for your model. Request bulletin from Fujitsu 'service@fujitsugeneral.com'

SOURCE: fujitsu plasma tv is on but no picture

Check all inputs. Are they all dead. Try other signal source. Does antenna input work when connected to known good source?Vide input label being displayed indicates most of the tv is working. You need to determine if you have lost signal in the video input.

Surface area of a rectangular prism whose length is 7 cm.,width is 4 cm., and thickness is 5 cm.?

Since the 'base' and 'top' of any prism have the same shape, the surface area can be found by
  • surface area of prism = 2 * area of base + perimeter of base * H
So for the rectangular prism in your example..
  • surface area = 2LW + 2(L+W)H
  • = 2 * 7 * 4 + 2*(7+4)*5
  • = 56 + 2 * 11 * 5
  • = 56 +110
  • = 166 sq cm
Hope this helps

Your plasma screen is made up of 1080 verticle lines and now a few of these lines are not working. This is the screen itself and needs replacing.

Gas keeps going is it worth fixing or is a new one better

I assume you mean that your screen is showing signs of stress 7 the picture quality is suffering. This would mean a replacement screen is needed & as this is very costly then it is more economical to buy a new TV instead.

Vertical white line down centre of Soniq PT42SH plasma TV.

One of your "X" buffer boards is defective. In Panasonic plasma tv's they are located at the bootom of the set and connect directly to the plasma diplay panel via a thin ribbon cable. The board you want to replace will be directly in line with the discolored vertival line in the picture. The part number is on the circuit board and usualy starts with "tnp..." or "txp..."

Dark band 6 inches wide middle of the screen

YOU MAY HAVE A DEFECTIVE Y DRIVER BOARD OR A RIBBON CABLE THAT HAS COME DISCONNECTED. THIS NOT USUALLY THE PANEL SINCE THE PANEL DOES TURN ON. TAKE IT TO AN AUTHORIZED SERVICER.
