Question about Xerox Phaser 6300N Laser Printer

1 Answer

Help Hi I am trying to use a Xerox Phaser 6300 on my OS 10.4.11 MacBook using USB cable. I can see the printer icon in the dock, but when I don't think it is receiving any data... it never indicates in the print monitor that it has received a document, nor does it indicate that it is receiving information on the actual printer window. Suggestions?

Patchy color printing, streaks and dull colors using Phaser 8200

I have the same exact problem. I just switched to a mac and the colors are awful. I tried from 3 different macs at work, trying different combinations of color profiles, settings, etc, and the colors always look completely off. Blues are magenta, bright red is a dull reddish, orange is completely brown. It looks like Xerox decided to not even try to make this aspect work with the Mac. This is on the latest Mac book Pro, running Snow Leopard, to a Xerox Phaser 8560 DN.

PDF documents do not print completely on my Xerox Phaser 8500

I am having the same problem. Sometimes my Xerox Phaser 8500 prints a PDF or web page fine, and other times I get pages and pages of what looks like PostScript code. I thought I had installed the most recent printer drivers, We are using primarily Macs with OS 10.4 or 10.5. One recent change is that we connected the printer to an Airport Express using a USB cable, which is sweet when it works correctly....any ideas???

Phaser 7700 Mac System 10.4

I was using that printer with OS X 10.4 and I think the problem comes from the communication between the Mac and the printer. Is there anything wrong? I don't think that the problem has any relation with the ppd. I use OS X 10.5 today and I also have no problem. I'm using drivers which came with the printer.
