Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
Without being long winded, you might want to try HP's homepage and go to their Supports & Downloads link. In the top option box, type in your exact model (this can be found on the bottom of the computer, in your case it could read something like A916VR or something like that), that way you'll cut to the chase and get right to your exact model.
Look under the Software - Multimedia header and open that puppy up. In THERE you'll probably find the right driver(s). If there are multiple drivers then you'll have to do the trial and error approach to getting the right one. 400 laptop repairs later I'm still subject to having to do the same. Unless your comfortable peeling the fascia off of the screen and investigating the pc board for the correct nomenclature (and even with that it isn't always there either. Stuff just keeps getting smaller).
Hopefully that cures your woes with the web cam...
