F2 Oven temperature is too high 1. Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).
2. For SELF CLEAN models: check door lock operation.
3. Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective.

Remember: Oven control (ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit, not actual oven temperature.

Hi, I have Kitchenaid gas stove. the control panel shows the error code F2/E1.. What should I do to fix that?

Most of your F2 errors on stoves has to do with a stuck key. Use a hair dryer or a hot dish towel to warm up the keypad to loosen up that stuck key.

WHY DOES MY GE STOVE KEEPS FLASHING F2?

Hello mrctate. The F2 fault code indicates that there is high resistance or interference in the oven temperature sensor. The fix is to replace the oven temperature sensor. You can look at this part by going to Searspartsdirect.com and entering your model number. Once you do so you will see excellent diagrams of each of the parts of your GE stove. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F2-E0 on your oven means that the keypad is shorted and to resolve this issue you'll have to replace the electronic range control/clock(ERC). Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Hello fairglen,
welcome,

You said, model WHIRLPOOL WEP54800 Stove starts to beep at different times of the day. After four beeps F2 shows up and continues to beep when it feels it should. The control board has been checked twice and A new oven sensor installed. EVERY thing works perfect. This all started after water was brought to A boil on the back burner

But something is wrong!!??
Check your model number.
It is not showing up anywhere in the repair manuals or error codes.
Not even Canada.
What country did you buy it in?
How old is this range?

These are the only F2 codes I found in whirlpool so far!

F2 - Oven temperature sensor shorted = Replace oven temperature sensor

F2-Oven temperature above specifications = 8-pin connector oven temperature sensor to the Electronic Range Control (ERC)

Waiting your response or correction!!!!!!!!!!!

F2 Code Problem

I can't take credit except searching and found this info.. I will order to see if it fixes my error messages..Tom

All, I hope that this helps everyone having this annoying problem. The problem is the F2 error that seems to come on everytime you use the oven. Well, it was driving my wife crazy, so I finally gave in, and had a GE technician come over to fix it. :) It cost me $190, with $80 for the part and $110 for the labor. Had I known what the problem was, I could have fixed it myself in 10 minutes, and only would have had to buy the part. My loss is your gain. The technician replaced the sensor, part #WB21X5301 (can find at (www.geappliances.com (http://www.geappliances.com)); cost is $76. If you open the oven door, the sensor is on the top left-hand side and is long and skinny. Instructions come with the part to replace it. Basically, you unplug the oven, take out two screws, and cut the two wires to the sensor. You then use wire nuts to connect the new sensor wires, and push the :) wires out of the oven area into the back panel. That's it. Problem fixed. Glad I could help out others!! Merry Christmas! JakeDecember 11th, 2005, 02:25 PMThanks for the information and update back on this problem you had.:)

You can also buy that same part#WB21X5301 from here, abit cheaper:
