SOURCE: When setting Tanita scales specifics, after set, I get an error

I had the same problem with the error message coming up and emailed Tanita. The regional representative contacted me by email. He had me check with new batteries and clean the contacts. Then he cross-referenced my model and lot numbers and said that my scale was still under warranty and if it met the warranty criteria would be replaced. Tanita has a 10 year warranty on this scale and my scale was 5 years old. He gave me an RMA# to submit with my receipt and about 10 days later I had my replacement scale!! Fantastic Customer Service! Thank you Tanita!!!

CALIBRATING A TANITA KD-200-110 DIGITAL SCALE.

According to Tanita, you must send the scale back to the factory to adjust the calibration. As of September 2011 the cost is $125.00

This is more the scale costs.

Moral of the story. Don't buy Tanita.

Getting error E 11 on unit.

ok here is what I found: •E - 11 is displayed when there is a loose connection between the control box and the weighing platform.•Confirm that none of connections between the scale and control box are loose or unplugged.•There may be excessive vibration which will disturb the measurement process.
you can dowload the manual here http://www.tanita.com/en/tbf-300a/184-catId.520093719.html. If those solutions do not work i reccomend contacting the manufacturer here http://www.tanita.com/en/contact-us/ as the unit may be under a warranty.
