Question about Cell Phones
Actually, there are Locks, like Sim Lock, Phone Lock, etc.. but I would assume that your phone is locked to only one network, means it's Network Lock.
The simplest way to get it unlocked is to call the service provider [sim card operator's customer care] and request them to give you the unlock code. But there's one condition, almost all network operator never give the unlock code, because they want more customers. But if we call them and request them to give the code so that you can use multiple sim cards switching time and again, definitely they will and they should do if you insist.
Another method is, unlock from Online Mobile Unlock services like Mobile unlocking code (click here), here you'll need to select the service provider (Network), Brand, phone model and the IMEI number but they charge fee for the service.
And with some models, formatting does the trick, to format, first Switch of the phone, press "*", "3" and "Green key" [call button] (*+3+Call), you need to press and hold down the keys simultaneously and switch on the phone with the Power button/switch. Keep holding until you see the message "Formatting.....", once you see the message, you can release the buttons. Your phone will be formatted and all the contents will be lost including the smses and contacts.
There are few formatting codes, but I can't assure that those codes will work on this model, if you wish, you can try..
Type in *#7370# on the main menu as you type in numbers before dialing, if your phone supports this feature, it'll ask you for a confirmation.
You can also try *#7780#
There's still more, "Firmware Update" but it'll not work on your model since it has no usb feature with it.
Your last option is to get it unlocked from a Nokia Servicing Center or Service Center or from any Mobile Repair Center. It'll take few minutes to unlock using the software/hardware.
If you need further help, let me know.
Thanks for using FixYa.
