A menu keeps flashing on my monitor so fast I can not read it and it will not stop. Black box with grey edge. Compaq 5017M monitor

mrsrobins849, if monitor manufacturing date (on rear of unit) is anywhere close to 2003-2004 then trade unit for new wide screen only if problem of flashing "menu" goes away when you connect a borrowed substitute monitor to your pc. Will your monitor "act" same when connected to "known-good" "fully-booted" pc that will display the WIN-desktop?? Most problems with "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamp" "back-lit" lcd monitors can be attributed to their internal or external "switch-mode-power-supply" DC voltages degrading over time with use.

Hi when I turn on the TV, I can hear the audio, but the screen remains black for about 11 minutes, after that time, the video gets back as normally, what can I do? Thanks in advance.

manufacture date was 1992-93 they where built to last 8 years before problems where to start happening to them the power supply on the board starts to go first if you wish to have it fixed it would cost around $150-200 to have it serviced it is best to go to someone who services phillips fp mon tv radios or replace with a new one

Polaroid 15" HD Widescreen LCD 1511-TLXB, turn on, stays on for about 30 seconds to 1 minute and then screen goes black, no sound, no menu

Do you have to turn it back on with the remote after this?

If so, then you may have set a timer by accident through the menu system.

More information would be required.

Looking for driver for 15" LCD Television - Model: FLM-1511

Hi Billy. You don't normally need drivers for a monitor of this size. The most common cause of of this problem is that your old monitor was set to a lower resolution than this monitor is designed to support. LCD monitories have a 'native' resolution meaning that the screen itself is made up of 1280 x 768 liquid crystal cells. You need to change the screen resolution to 1280 x 768; assuming you are using Windows XP click with the right mouse button an an empty part of the desktop and select Properties (or click Start, then click Control Panel then click Display), on the Settings tab, under Screen resolution, drag the slider bar until it says 1280x768 and then click Apply. Post back if you still have the same problem after this.
