Use a small pick tool (like dentists use) to reshape those brass connectors on the back of the face plate. If this model has a ribbon instead of brass connectors it's junk. Make sure where the connectors meet the head unit is clean.

How do i change the AM radio to FM?

Hello
Press RADIO BAND.AUTO PRESET until the band you want appears in the display (direct power on). Each time you press this button, the indication changes as "FM" --> "AM". Hold down TUNE + or --, until the frequency digit begins to change in the display. The player automatically scans the radio frequencies and stops when it finds a clear station. If you can't tuned in a station, press the button repeatedly to change the frequency step by step. If FM broadcast is noisy, press "MODE" until "Mono" appears on the display and the radio will play in monatural without any noise. Only strong FM signals can be decoded to stereo. OK.

Hello,
I think that your receiver might be set to the wrong input. Try to change the input to "tuner" and you should be able to hear the FM radio. To change the input, all you need to do is press the button labled either source or input
