This is an indication of fl231 fusable link has blown.. a brown recatangular special fuse that blows due to poor solder connections on flyback. IF you can get the fuse and can solder this is not a difficult repair... EXtreme caution should be taken with televisions. this set can hold 380 volts even when unpluged.. rember resolder flyback

sounds like the auto convergence option has disappeared from the set up menu. Press menu and scroll to setup and then enter setup menu and see if the auto convergence is still listed there or has it disappeared?

If you do not have convengence when you go to menu then set up convergence should be there.OPEN FUSE FL231 it is on the deflection board Right next the FBT flyback transfomer there are 3 rectangular brown looking caps they are FUSEs the one in the Middle will be open causing convergence failure .They will be on right side of FBT.

3d like picture, 3 colors bending across screen. convergence option gone from menu

There are bad solder connections on the flyback transformer and fuse #FL231 is open. Pretty hard to repair this yourself.

The color green has come out of the other colors

Needs to be converged if this is a projection tv. Check menu for a cutomer convergence option. Should be a manual or auto convergence. If you cannot move anything in manual convergence then convergence amplifiers are bad and need to be replaced. Professional can replace no problem.

just found the problem fuse that causes this to happen. The set I have also was not converging, and the auto convergences option was also gone. The small fuse labeled fl231 which is right next to the big plastic piece with the large red wire coming from it in the left corner of the circuit board closest to the back. It is the middle of the 3 small fuses that are smaller than a Chiclets gum. I was able to pull up the circuit board and jump the fuse with some alligator clips and the set looked great again. Every one says watch out for the unit with that red wire SO WATCH OUT!

damortch check out mouser.com I think I found them on there gonna call them tomorrow to see if I can get mine there.
