Sounds like a regulator issue. A very uncommon issue with bad propane could do that as well, but not likely. It won't hurt to pull out the burners and clean them. clean and inspect all fittings, try once more, then look at replacing the regulator. Farmerbear at FixYa.com

Flame on main hob of range master 110 is yellow and smelly also black sooty deposit left on jets

Ream out all the orifices and air venturi holes on the burner, adjust the air-ahutter, the air-shutter is usually nearer the valve/knob than to the burner. Yellow flame is an imbalance of fuel to oxygen and is creating Carbon Monoxide and not burning cleanly... this is the same problem that can make a furnace deadly. Blue flame=neutral flame.

I just had my furnace cleaned it is a gas rheem. The service guy said it was overheated because of a#3 tube he said the furnace heat exchange is black. What can be do regarding this

I presume you're talking about a gas furnace, even tho the title says Rheem gas water heater. Either way, it works the same for both.

Any black coloring on the heat exchanger is *not* from overheating. Black is from a sooty flame caused by a mis-adjusted burner. (In fact, a sooty flame is less hot). There is an adjustable "air intake plate" for air to enter the burner where the gas enters the burner. A proper flame is made by adjusting this air opening so the proper gas/air mixture feeds into the burner. If the air vent is closed too much it produces a sooty flame.
The age of the furnace is the most important aspect, and that helpful to determine a likely condition of the heat exchanger and burners. Other than a badly adjusted flame, the main thing to watch for is a badly rusted out heat exchanger. But black does not mean rust.

Since it has turned cold my flame on cook stove has yellow flame

It may or may not be related to outdoor temperature but it appears that your burners don't have enough air. See if there is an air adjustor under the burner in the gas piping.

94 yz 250 fouling plugs bad

Could be fuel or oil fouling. Need to determine which first off. If it is black sooty fouling it is likely too rich also it too rich may be wet.

If oil fouling it is more likely to be much more material fouling and wet sticky material.

A wet, black and shiny deposit on plug base, electrodes and ceramic insulator tip indicates an oil fouled plug. The condition may be caused by one or more of the following: worn pistons, worn piston rings, worn valves, worn valve guides, worn valve seals, a weak battery or a faulty ignition system.

A dry, fluffy or sooty black deposit indicates an air/fuel mixture that is too rich, engine idling for excessive periods of time and/or enrichener usage for excessive periods of time.

A light brown, glassy deposit indicates an overheated plug. This condition may be accompanied by cracks in the insulator or by erosion of the electrodes and is caused by an air-fuel mixture that is too lean, a hot-running engine, valves not seating or improper ignition timing. The glassy deposit on the spark plug is a conductor when hot and may cause high-speed misfiring. A plug with eroded electrodes, heavy deposits or a cracked insulator must be replaced.

A plug with a white, yellow, tan or rusty brown powdery deposit indicates balanced combustion. Clean off spark plug deposits at regular intervals.

New cooktop ! long flame yellow tips black deposits on pans

This is probably the result of inefficient burning of gas resulting in sooty deposits being left on the base of saucepans etc. It may be that the gas jets are blocked with spilt material and need cleaning. Try removing the gas hub with the gas jet holes in and sliding a paperclip sized rod into each hole to dislodge any material. Blow in the holes afterwards to force any loose material out. If this fails you may need a gas fitter to adjust the gas mixture regulators.

Flame does not burn blue -- it is more yellow and sooty

From what you described, the burner needs to be removed and cleaned and the air shutter adjustment needs to be readjusted. After cleaning and replacing the burner, you can light the unit and then start adjusting the air shutter, until the flames are blue with yellow or orange tips.

Hope this helped you.

Cadac eazi chef flame burns yellow and makes a lot of soot. This happened after i tried to light it and there was some kind of blow back and some smoke but no visible flame. I have striped it down as far as...

Yellow flame = not enough air. (Remember using Bunsen burners in school science lab? Air hole closed = yellow flame). Have you twisted the main metal tube (whilst trying to remove the burner assembly)? Remove the gas tube and metal plate (6 small cross headed screws). Draw out the gas valve. Look into the metal tube. You should see 3 slotted holes - the air holes. On mine they had twisted and were blocked by the plastic of the leg assembly. Using a good pair of pipe grips, rotate the metal tube until the air holes are clear. Then re-assemble. My Cadac Eazy Chef now works like new.

Magic Chef Gas Oven - Heats up slowly and has intermittent gas smell

STOP USING THE OVEN IMMEDIATELY!!! You are not getting enough air to the burners to burn all the fuel. Not only will you have an explosion hazard, you'll have a carbon monoxide hazard either of which will KILL YOU. Read all of the info below before you begin.

You need to clean all the burners and inlets thoroughly. You probably used the oven for a lot of broiling of meats or it is quite old. The deposits are clogging the tubes which gauge the amount of air entering the burners or the burner holes themselves. The burner tubes are generally removable by removing one screw and giggling the units clear. Before taking anything apart, note carefully the positions of any mix plates and scribe small marks between the two surfaces. Use a heavy duty cleaner or WD-40 to loosen grime. Don't use abrasives like Comet. Then wash in mild detergent with hot water and dry. Be sure all burner openings are clear. After assembly, note the color of the flames. They should be about 90% blue along their length from the burner head. If they are not, you didn't finish the job cleanly or you have another problem. If the burners are old, rusty or have irregularly shaped flame holes, replace them.
