There is most likely something hung in the water pump. This page will show how to access the pump http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/Whirlpool-washer.html

My washer makes a buzzing sound when trying to go through spin cycle. Cold water doesn't work either but other temps do.

check for a faulty cold water solenoid in the machine
the buzzing noise is a cycle frequency noise caused when a solenoid coil is faulty and not moving the centre bit.

Makes buzzing noise and won't spin or drain

Sounds like something is stuck in the drain pump.  If nothing is stuck in the pump replace the pump.  It won't spin until it drains, so fixing the drain problem will fix the spin.  You can get at the drain pump by taking off the bottom panel.

Makes a weird buzzing sound while in the wash cycle, sounds like a problem with a relay perhaps

The timer sometimes will buzz like that, nothing to worry about usually, if the timer ever stops, and you can restart it by pulling out the knob and moving it a bit further in the cycle and restarting it, then your timer is going out.
But it may also be a bobby pin or something like it in the pump ,My atlantis has had this several times ( daughter never checks her pockets ) most times it travels on through in time, but a few times i needed to remove the front of the machine and pull the hoses off the pump and get the bugger out.

WASHER DOES NOT TURN

Sounds like the motor has frozen. Try to work the drum loose from the bottom (empty and unplugged) it just might be jammed from a pen or similar item lodged inside (someone not emptying their pockets). Since its buzzing (its the motor TRYING to move the drum) it has to be jammed from something. Rarely it could be a bearing locked up in either the drum or the motor itself though its unlikely.

Washer making buzzing sound during spin cycle, then stopped during wash still has water in tge clothes, buttons light up as if going to work but nothing happens jusy buzzing noise

If I understand correctly, the washer made a sound in the spin cycle but didn't actually spin the clothes dry?
If so you may have something in the pump that is not allowing it to pump out. Disassemble the pump and make sure it is clear of any debris.

Will not start

bsolo, sounds like something jammed in your pump stopping the motor. You will have to remove the cabinet to get at the pump. It has 2 clips that hold it to the motor. The best way to tell for sure is to remove the cabinet, jump the lid switch and start the washer. If the motor runs without the pump, then you know for sure it's jammed. I will try to attach a diagram on how to remove the cabinet.6212c10.gif216ffff.jpg
