Hm, ok, so to clarify you CAN send faxes to any number, except for one particular number you are trying to fax?? That means it is the destination fax that is having issues, not yours. Please clarify though, is this what is happening?

Thanks
Tim

Ok well that is most certainly not a problem with your fax machine. You will want to call whoever it is that you are trying to fax to and tell them their machine is not working with your fax. See if they have an alternate number you can work with... If not, maybe you can email it to them? I can tell you for sure though it's not a problem on your end, if anything your two fax machines are just incompatible, and there is nothing you are doing wrong.

    Thanks
    Tim

NG Poor line condition whenfaxing

If this is truely an issue involving poor line conditions you can try using a Line Noise Filter which you can get at most Radio Shack locations. Should cost about 14.99 or so. This could be caused by a loose connection in your home/office wiring or a loose connection at the switch box or anywhere along your line all the way to the tandum. If you actually hear static on the line have the telephone company do the work. Call in a bad connection issue and ask for a line test. If there is a grounded line somewhere that will detect the fault and they can better isolate where the problem actually is located.

Just wondering on how to set up so u can get faxes from all area codes not just one

You will automatically receive faxes from anyone with a compatible fax anywhere in the world. You may be confusing receiving as you had to enter your area code in setup to send faxes. That does not keep you from receiving (or sending) anywhere you like.

Stretched text on faxes

In my experience, this type of problem is on the sender's end and not the receivers. We have sent faxes before and while they are sending, the paper on our end misfeeds and the received copy on the other end is stretched and unreadable. One way to determine this is to have a few different people from different locations send you faxes. If all the faxes have this problem, then it is a good bet it is a problem on your end. If not, then it is probably a problem with this particular sender's fax machine. I hope this helps.
