Ttr50 oil blowing from vent tube

Hi, Lee oil level readings are taken when the engine has reached normal operating temperature and the usual suspects are:
1. Overfilled oil tank dipstick reading should at or below full.
2. If the sight glass is full you are running to much oil.
3. Excessive blowby caused by worn out piston rings.
4. Piston rings never properly seated.
5. Faulty breather valve or system.
6. Pinched or clogged breather line/hose.
7. Clogged or failed oil filter.
8. Contaminated oil dirt-rust-water etc.
9. Excessive oil foaming.
10. Wrong oil type not designed for your bike.

Valve breather shots out oil when engine is running

I do not think this is a gasket issue, if the machine has beed tipped up oil will travel up the breather tube and enter the air filter case, over filling will also cause this, if its been tipped it will clear if you run it for a time with the filter off.

I have a 1991 fatboy 1340cc harley it is blowing oil from oil breather when i try to start it what is the cause for this

Hi Anonymous, it's called wet sumpping. Evo's and earlier engines were famous for oil draining out of the oil tank past the oil pump check ball/valve and into the bottom end when left without starting for long period of time (winter storage). When the bike is restarted the piston downstroke creates pressure in the bottom end which is routed back through the gearcase, up the push rod tubes and into the rocker boxes and finally into the air cleaner where unspent fuel particles are recycled back through the carburator and into the combustion chamber. Oil mist and air are seperated by a baffling system in the cam gearcase compartment. Under normal circumstances there is only a couple ounces of oil in the gearcase and bottom end. If the bottom end has a gallon of oil in it, well you get the picture and the mess. Best way to prevent oil eruptus is to drain it before it has a chance to to relocate and take up residence in your bottom end. Enjoy the new season.

Blowing oil through the carburator

Well not knowing what motorcycle you are working with I will give a general answer.
You may have a tube that is between the carbs or on the intakes. That tube might have a hose hooked to a crankcase breather.
If so one reason for the oil could be a person over filled the crank case with oil.

Honda XR 250 R blowing oil out of breather hoses

Hi, Big_a08 and the usual suspects are:
1. Oil tank/system overfilled.
2. Faulty breather valve.
3. Engine breather hose bent, pinched, kinked etc.
4. Air filter has too much "pre-oil".
5. Crankshaft seal failure allowing transmission fluid to migrate.
6. Blow by drain tube cracked/split or filled to capacity.

I have oil coming through carburator. Is there a vacuum line cloggedor what?

Check your oil level. If your vacuum petcock or float bowls are over flowing gas into the engine, your oil is diluted with gas, the crankcase is too full, gasoline diluted oil is blowing through the breather tube into the air box, and from the air box into the carburetor. Needles sticking in the carburetors can happen at any time even to new motorcycles. If you have vacuum petcocks inspect the vacuum diaphragms for leaking. Clean the carburetors and replace the float needles if they show wear. Change the gas fouled oil and filter. Hope this helps.

Blowing oil in carburator and running ok otherwise

Your breather valve may be stuck, and the intake valve (not sealing well) / rings (worn or sticking) may be pressurizing the crank case.

You might also have too much oil in it, but that would also cause it to produce copious amounts exhaust smoke.

When the mower is started it runs very smoothly. The blow by from engine comes through the valve on side through floor of Carburator housing fouling air cleaner. when air cleaner off oil is sprayed on...

REPLACE THE CRANKCASE BREATHER ON THE SIDE OF THE BLOCK. IT IS A SMALL RECTANGULAR SHAPED BOX AT THE END OF THE HOSE THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE AIR CLEANER HOUSING WHERE THE OIL IS SPRAYING IN
