The smaller of the (2) lines will go to the in-tank fuel filter/weight. Depending on the model, the line will attach to the filter with about 2.5-3.0 inches of additional fuel line within the fuel tank.

The larger fuel line is the return line and needs to go into the fuel tank about 1/4 inch or so.

You should have both size holes at the bottom of the fuel tank to accommodate. Insure you are using the correct fuel line as a complete seal is necessary due to slight pressurization and to prevent leakage.

RE: craftsman weed wacker The weedwacker will start but not continue running; fuel is fresh so I think it's either air or fuel filter. Need info on how to change filters.

The air filter is a piece of cake... it is inside the middle cover which comes right off....The fuel filter is a different animal and is located IN the fuel tank at the end of the smaller diameter fuel line which comes out of the tank and goes directly to the body of the carburetor...your problem could be something else entirely though...like worn carb parts...partially clogged muffler and/or arrestor screen or port. These engine produce a by-product of carbon because of the amount of oil they burn along with the gas. It's good that it at least starts but I am leaning towards a problem with fuel delivery here. Drain the fuel tank... Look inside it and check condition of fuel filter...sometimes they break/rot off of the fuel line in the tank and the fuel lines should ALL be replaced at that point.

Replace fuel lines WeedEater FL 1500 Blower

On the FL1500:
  • The Smaller line goes on the Lower inlet tube on the carborater the other end goes to the gas filter inside the gas tank.
  • The Larger line goes on the upper outlet tube on the carborater the other end goes to a fitting that holds this tube from coming out on the gas tank .This tube is only for Air, it helps fill the primer bulb when pushed.
I hope this helps.
Mechs correct me if I have made a mistake.

Gas line needs to go thru buttom of gas tank on sears weed wacker

Take your old line to a lawn mower parts store, ask for a new gas line of the same size. I would buy about a foot long. Push the line in the tank down into the tank(doing this with the tank empty), remove gas cap, turn upside down, a filter and your old line will fall out. Press the new gas line through the hole, push enough through that it comes out of the filler hole, place filter onto the new line, drop into tank, cut off excess and reattach to the carburator.

The filter in the gas tank came off.

The filter should only fit in the end of one of the lines (probably the larger diameter one) The smaller line usually goes from the tank to the primer bulb and the larger one goes to the carburator. The filter just sticks in the end of the fuel line.

Need gas line routs for a craftsman weed eater

The longer, (and sometimes smaller of the two), fuel line goes from the carburetor to the tank with the fuel filter attached to the end, inside the gas tank. The other line, ( sometimes larger), goes from the primer bulb to just inside the gas tank, about a 1/2 -1 inch inside with coupling attached to the end. Coupling keeps line from pulling out of tank.

I have a 32cc crasftzman weed wacker need how to

This can be a little tricky, the filter is in the tank connected to the line. The line is pulled through a hole in the tank which seals only because the line is the correct outter diameter to seal the hole and not collapse the interior. Fuel line and filters are available at most places that carry outdoor power equipment parts but you must make sure the line is the exact size inner and outter as the original.
If the trimmer has a primer bulb the line goes from the tank to the bulb and then to the carburetor, a second line goes from the carburetor back to the tank, don't get them mixed up.

Redmax weed wacker wont stay running

Have these unit been stored with fuel in them or sitting around for a long period of time? If so the carbs may need to be overhauled. Also check for a clogged fuel filter and vacuum test the fuel lines for cracks.
