Question about Toshiba CF35F40 35" TV

2 Answers

I have a Toshiba CRT 32ZP48P. It has a white line constant Horizontally across the centre of the CRT. I have searched for Service Manual but no success. Looking here, it appears SD Tech and tvrepair biz on similar Qs point to chip Q301. I've checked this and it is physically damaged. Is there an underlying reason for this to blow? and if replaced should all be good? Any help would be appreciated as I know there's plenty of life left in the set.

Q301 is the vertical amplifier, once replace everything should work as normal. The reason that this part was damaged is due to excessive heat and not being cool-down properly or the thermal compound became dry.
I have the service manual if you need it. Let me know where to send it to.

Your problem is horizontal colapse it is mainly due to low volt imp and blown capasitors in any case a very expensive repair in almost all cases we write them off

There are white thin horizontal lines across the top 2" of Toshiba 27DF47 TV. Can this be repaired and how much would this repair cost?

Check and replace all the electrolytic capacitors at its vertical output section circuit. There will be five or 6 of them. Replace all.

White line in 26in Element tv

Is this a CRT type. Please mention where the white line is and if this is the retrace line all across the screen horizontally then it is failure of the grid filter which is a high voltage capacitor in the section of the line output normally about 10-25 MFD/250V. Also the failure of the diode or the fusible resistor opening out will result with the same symptom.

My Toshiba television is making a popping noise with scattered white lines on the screens. It is not constant; but increasingly frequent. What is the cause

hello
If there is a poping sound inside the tv, some type of arcing takes places inside it. So many white lines across the screen can be caused by over screen voltage. You should contact to a service technician to rectify the problem.

CRT 28" widescreen TV, has thin bright line horizontally across, centre of screen and sound. There is no proper picture.

You have sent me an e mail asking me if I have solved the problem. I sent you the e mail telling you what the problem was because you advertised that you could solve the problem. Not write to me a day later asking me if I had fixed it. If I could have fixed it I wouldn't have written to you asking for a solution to the problem.

Single green line spanning across the screen horizontally

I was just watching TV and all of a sudden the screen minimized down to a single green line spanning across the screen horizontally. The label in the back says it was made in 1996 so it is an old tv. Can anyone help?

No picture no sound

Did you mean the picture is collapsed only in the middle horizontally(white line appears on the middle part of the screen)?
If that is the case, maybe vertical IC failed or loose connection.

Poor picture quality

You need to consider the following tips herein as follow:

1) Field collapse (horizontal white line on screen)
R710 dry joints. Same as C2146TN & C2546TN problem solved with thanks to Mike G & Barty. Power off/unplug. Get to circuit board underside with aerial socket up-R710 is near top and right of centre-cluster of 4 joints best resoldered
2) Picture is horizontally narrowed and deformed
Capacitor C2913 (390nF, 250V) on the deflector PCB had lost capacity

Please let me know any update
