1. Check the oven temperature sensor. The oven sensor gotsta be within spec or it will cause the F1 code. As an example of being out-of-spec, the ERC will generate an F1 fault code when the sensor shows 1650 ohms during a time-of-day mode. This is equivalent to 350°F in the oven. The resistance isn’t high enough to generate an F2 code (runaway temp) or an F3 or F4 code (shorted/open sensor circuit). The ERC monitors the sensor circuit after a heat cycle and expects the resistance to drop back to 1050-1100 ohms. The fault code is generated when this doesn’t happen. Checking the sensor circuit means also checking the harness, harness connections and the sensor itself.
2. If the oven sensor circuit checks okay, then turn your inquisitive eyeballs to the touchpad. If the range has a separate touchpad/keyboard, the keypad may have moisture that is shorting several circuits simultaneously. If the F1 code is given immediately (instead of during or after a heat cycle), remove the ribbon connector from the touchpad to the ERC after clearing the F1 code. If the F1 code does not return in five minutes, then cast a suspicious gaze upon the touchpad/keyboard. Shorts may be caused by using an ammonia-based glass cleaner. The touchpad surface will absorb ammonia-based cleaners that are sprayed directly on the glass surface. When heat is applied, the surface material can break down causing shorts. If you’re gonna use ammonia-based cleaners on your control panel, then you should spray it on the rag and then wipe the touchpanel –don’t spray directly onto the surface of the touchpad.
3. On Amana ranges with a rotary temperature dial, be sure that the knob is in the OFF position when performing tests.
4. If these tests all check good, then replace the ERC.

Maytag Dryer MED6600TQ0 F1 code

please follow this steps , use the multimer and fix it. Merry Christmas
The F1 code is a thermister error code. You need to use a meter and check the thermister, it is located on the blower housing. Just remove the lower panel to get at it. Unplug it and it should read around 10K ohms at room temp. If it is very low or does not read at all it needs to be replaced. If it is good you need to check the wiring from the thermister to the board to see if it is good. If it is and still displays the F1 code you need to replace the control board. That board is located on the left hand side of the unit when you have the top off you can see it on the left hand wall. Here is a link to the parts for your unit.

My LG Lan125HV works fine on air conditioning ( cool) but heat pump does not trigger when I move to heat or combined settings. Tried all temperature and fan settings, tried waiting to see if unit waiting...

I talked to LG customer support (800) 243-0000. The tech told me that this model had a problem with the indoor thermistor. It doesn't fail with an open-circuit condition, so you don't get an error code. The thermister just goes out of range and believes your indoor temp is much hotter than it is. That's why the heating never comes on. I'll bet that, even though it ran in COOLING mode, once your room reached setpoint, it just kept on cooling & cooling ... because the thermistor was still giving a false, high temp reading.

So, I bought a new thermistor, P/N 6323A20042A. My unit worked fine. Until the next week when I turned heating back on and now I have the same problem ... gives cooling but no heat. Something is failing the indoor thermistor OR the distributor sent me an old-style thermistor, I haven't gotten determination on that yet.

Regardless, call LG and see if they can't direct you to a distributor for an indoor sensor. LG's warranty coverage for parts is a royal pain, unless you can show a receipt by a certified installer, you're not going to have much luck getting payment for the part. However, the thermistor is only $10. Just hope you get one that doesn't fail on you!

Double check your wiring .if the indoor fan is not blowing then you either have an electrical issue OR bad blower motor .
