My PSP was in my pocket while playing basketball and now the screen is messed up.
When I turn on my PSP it turns on but the colors are like lines of different colors going vertically on the screen. If the screen gets touched at all the colors will change. I can still listen to music but I can't see what im doing because of the screen problem. Please help me.

Then there is a malfunctioning with the psp i suppose. if u just purchased it, go back to the shop and tell them there is something wrong with it. and they should repair it or if they cant they should replace it. it still should be under warranty, if not then if im not mistaken , by customer's rights we can return a good under 7 days. double check tho.
assuming u didnt drop the psp or damage it in other ways...

The lcd screen needs to be replaced. This is one screen that I found thru amazon, the cost is relatively low, definitely less then $50 so its not to bad and as long as you know how to get into the psp then you can replace the screen:
Unfortunately, your son may have damaged the back light in the PSP. The only way to repair this is to take it to a local repair shop and have them remove the old PSP screen and put in a new one. It is possible that the connection to the motherboard and the screen has become looser, but I want to prepare you for the worse.
OK shahbs you bricked your psp somhow probably turned it off during an update. anyway you need to find someone who has pandoras battery that will fix it to make pandoras battery you have to know some one with custom firmware whoever has cfw
can be able to help you pandoras battery is free to make and you do NOT have to go inside your psp or battery to make it
u have a failed reader chip or a dead screen! return the device as soon as u can remember u a actually don't need a slip for proof of purchase! the store generally must have record of transactions, just have the date and time of purchase and they by LAW must have a record of it. so get it swapped over
