Question about Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Full Version for PC

On setting up a new Dell laptop computer, tag number HW47SJ1, I opted not to install MS Word when offered to do so on the first screens. I now wish to install it. There was a popup about how to do this but I did not write it down. Please advise me how to install it.

Hi.

You may need MS OFFICE install disk to install back Word or any other additional component. This depends on the way you have done the first installation.
Follow procedure below, the system will prompt you if the Office CD is required:

If the feature that you want is not installed automatically, do the following:

  1. Exit all programs.
  2. In Microsoft Windows, click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Windows Vista Click Programs, and then click Installed Programs. Click the name of the Microsoft Office edition or program you want to change, and then click Change.

Note In Classic view, double-click Programs, and then click Installed Programs. Click the name of the Microsoft Office edition or program you want to change, and then click Change.

  • Microsoft Windows XP Click Add or Remove Programs, and then click Change or Remove Programs. Click the name of the Microsoft Office edition or program you want to change, and then click Change.

Note In Classic view, double-click Add or Remove Programs, click the name of the Microsoft Office edition or program you want to change, and then click Change.

  1. In the 2007 Microsoft Office system Setup dialog box, click Add or Remove Features, and then click Next.
  2. Click the custom installation options that you want:
    • Click a plus sign (+) to expand a folder and see more features.
    • The symbol next to each feature indicates how that feature will be installed by default. You can change how the feature will be installed by clicking its symbol, and then selecting another symbol from the list that appears. The symbols and their meanings are as follows:

Use the RIGHT ARROW key to expand a feature that contains one or more subfeatures. Use the LEFT ARROW key to collapse an expanded feature. When you have selected the feature that you want to change, press SPACEBAR to display the menu of setup choices. Use the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW keys to select the setup option that you want, and then press ENTER.
  1. When you are done choosing the custom installation options that you want, do one of the following:
    • Click Upgrade. This button appears if Setup detects an earlier version of the same Office program on your computer.
    • Click Install Now. This button appears if Setup does not detect an earlier version of the same Office program on your computer.

    I wanted to add that another way to add MS Word is by inserting the installation CD, choosing customize and clicking through until you see the screen below:



    When you get that screen, choose ADD REMOVE FEATURES, then click on Word and choose run all from hard disk.

This appears to be an Inspiron 1750. Click on the windows logo, type programs on "Start Search" and select "Programs and Features" once it opens up, the list of programs are there. If you decided not to have MS Word, You need to select MS Office and uninstall it from there. Ho pe this helps.

How do i change screen resolutions on a laptop?


Click on Control Panel - Display - Settings tab then in Screen resolution moce the silder to the right to increase the resolution.
If you cannot increase the screen resolution then the correct video driver is not installed.

My desktop doesn't take up the whole screen, it's staying centered and small. My cursor doesn't travel outside of the centered screen, any ideas as to how I can get my whole screen back?


First go to Control Panel - Display - Settings and change the screen resolution to 1024X768
If you cannot change the screen resolution, then probably the video driver is corrupted or not installed, then re-install the video driver.

How to restore dell vostro 200 computer back to factory settings


1. Restart the computer.
2. As the computer restarts, press the F8 key until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.

Note:
You must press F8 before the Windows logo appears on the screen. If you press F8 after the Windows logo appears, the Advanced Boot Options menu does not appear on the screen. If you do not see the Advanced Boot Options menu, restart the computer, and then repeat this step until you see the menu on the screen.

3. Press the (Down Arrow) to select Repair Your Computer on the Advanced Boot Options menu, and then press Enter.

4. Specify the language settings that you want, and then click Next.

5. Log in as a user who has administrative credentials, and then click OK.

6. Click Dell Factory Image Restore.

7. In the Dell Factory Image Restore window, click Next.

8. Click to select the check box for Yes, reformat hard drive and restore system software to factory condition.

9. Click Next. The computer is restored to the default factory configuration.

10. When the restore operation is completed, click Finish to restart the computer.
