If you're referring to a wireless USB adapter, I have found Linksys and Belkin to be good makes, Linksys is the better of the two in my experience.

I purchased a 50 dollar top up over the phone for my broadband account but still can't get on the internet. It tells me I'm connected but I'm not. What can I do to fix this issue

Hi Cherryl, at first when top up was done, you should always restart the mobile device in order for the account information to refresh and IP as well. Then try to reconnect and see if you are able to browse successfully.

Speed on Verizon Fios

I had this problem or similar. Verizon (in New England area) upgraded my speed to 7MPS Download and 1MBS upload. It was slower than the old speed. I called in Verizon and after a lot of back and forth - well, to be fair, they were good - it turns out that the router on their site was old. They unplugged us from it and put us on a newer faster router and Voila! Worth a shot.

Nothing on the internet works, it's really slo and constantly dissconects, everyone else in my houses computer are great wit the internet but mine is horrible.

are you connecting through wireless? how strong is your signal, if its weak then you will have these problems, I would suggest a wireless extender to give you more coverage, also check your power settings to make sure that your wireless isn't set to power-save. Also, clear your browser history and run spyware software, I always use superantispyware but there are several to choose from. Lastly make sure you defrag your machine at least once a month.

Hope this helps.

Can I get my d 615 to work with Rogers high speed USB stick?

Hello,

The Rogers high speed USB stick will only work when plugged into a computer.

The stick does not work the same as a regular wireless card and so you can not use it to connect to your router.

You will need to have a seperate wireless network card to connect to your router, then your computer will be able to connect to both the network and the internet.

Thank you,

Pat

I need to know the best router/modem combo to buy

Order the Westell 7500 from Verizon. May not be the best, but your love will be easier because it eliminates a device by providing a single gateway / combo modem router.
Speed issues are ambiguos. Call Verizon and have them take you through some slow speed troublshooting.

Setting up internet

NO laptop has WIRELESS MODEM or ROUTER.

But yeah, there is always a WIRELESS LAN card in each laptop so that you can get connected to any Wireless Access Point like Routers,Bridges or Switches.

Your OS wizard will help you to configure all wireless settings.

Can I use AT&T 2WIRE 2701HG-B DSL to ant ISP?

look if u wish to go for verizon service,,they will provide u with a wireless modem as well,,but if u tell them that u hav a modem then they might configure this modem only,,both ATT and verizon are DSL service providers with PPPoE connections.the only thing u need is the username and passwrd from verizon which u have to setup on the first page of the 2wire setup page,,both the connections are dhcp based.so no other connection settings change required. But when u talk with verizon make sure u tell them of the 2wire modem

Moreover verizon has wireless broadband service which is actually a express card tat u have to put into your computer and u can go online anywhere u go within ur country{it works like a mobile phone}

best of luck,,keep me posted

I already have verizon internet"fios' how ever i want to purchas cable for my hd tv

Usually Verizon can offer HD TV over the same FIOS cable. If you call them, they can connect it to your TV for you.

If you call the cable company they can probably set up cable for you. The two shouldn't interfere with each other.
