My mother-in-law has a jazzy 113 for about 6-7 years and the 2 wheels broke in half. How can this happen when it is a solid wheel? Please let me know what to do. Its the back wheels.

Liz First Did Medicare buy MIL's chair? If they did contact me @ lennieg2000@yahoo.com and I'll give you more info. Now after that long the tires get brittle and usually need replacement. You can contact the provider where MIL got her chair and have them get the caster wheels for the chair. Hope this helps

OK, mother in laws 2001 escorts xlt rear end making roaring noise I need to know how to r&r step by step can someone please help

Difficult to diagnose sounds, but most likely to be wheel bearings. You need to sit in the back with the windows open and move side to side to see where the noise is from left or right.

Not a difficult job, but a tip, when you put the new wheel bearing in, tighten the centre nut down hard until the wheel locks up solid. Then back off by the number of degrees as specified, usually a quarter turn if my memory serves me correctly. I did this job in 1975. If you don't do this, the bearing becomes loose and wears out very quickly. Also use LOTS of grease pushing it into the roller bearing cage.

My pride jazzy electric powerchair will not unlock on one wheel, it only has one lever in back to release both wheels

Your jazzy chair should have 2 levers. There is a lever for each wheel. if the other wheel does not have the lever, then you are missing the lever that would release the wheel. Have a local tech look at it and they may be able to get the parts needed to release the other wheel.

I just gave my mother in law the jazzy 1103 ultra power chair... when you put it on.. the lights flash and the chair creeps along.. it happened all of a sudden.. it wont speed up.. this was donated so I...

tam The batteries need to be replaced. With the lights flashing indicating low voltage and the chair just creeping means weak batteries. With a donated chair you do not know how long the chair sat without being charged. You need to purchase 2 U1 batteries. If there is a battery warehouse store near you or an Interstate battery store check with them because your cost will be less than going through a provider. Hope this helps you

Jazzy chair pulls left

Since each drive wheel has it's own motorand both are controlled by the joystick you can narrow it down to the motor opposite the side it is pulling to (probably not the joystick programming if it was working before). However, there may be another answer: if your home has a lot of carpet, or worse a dog, check where the wheel mounts to the drive motor and clear anything that might be wrapped around the wheel axle into the motor, similar to what happens to a vacuum cleaner brush wheel.

Look in your owners manual for the flash code anwser. Make sure when you hit the power button you only touch it for 1 sec not more. If you press the power button for more the 2-3 seconds you place the power chair in LOCK OUT mode. lights will flash and not power. also check your free wheel levers. one on each moter. Mike

Hi

Rapid flash of lights indicates a fault in the VSI or the electrical system. You need to refer to " VSI Error Codes" on page#32 of this User Manual:
