The inside of my fridge is leaking from up inside right under the freezer. There are two openings and water is constantly dripping from both. I have an ice maker, does that have anything to do with it? It is a Fridgidaire.

I have a Westinghouse RT190G refrigerator with a top freezer and no ice maker. It leaks water just below the freezer from a plastic "vent". Its about 20 years old but in very good shape except for this problem. It leaks out about a cup of water in about 48 hours.

My frigidaire FRT21P6CSB0 is dripping a gel / melted styrofoam from the top console in the fridge. It still runs but no longer cools. Any ideas?

Along with WillMac's EXTREMELY HELPFUL advise, my husband removed the freezer tray, held in place by 2 screws, on the bottom of the freezer. Ours was completely lined with like 2 inches of ice, which had been slowly melting and leaking into the fridge.

There is a plastic panel inside the frigidaire looking at the underside of the freezer inside the refrigerator compartment which holds the thermostate dial and the light fixture. remove the four 1/4 in hex head screws holding the assembly. pull the panel toward the front. you will expose the drain hose connection you can let it dangle from the plug wires or remove the panel completely, I worked with mine in place. look at the back funnel shape drain. just in front of that see a rectangular styroform collar which should be snug fit to match the underside. clean and dry all. there is a divider between the two funnel compartments, mine was separated between the plastic and the styroform. I used kitchen and bath tub caulking to seal the gap. and a little around the rectangle shape that fits to the underside. plug the wire back in if disconnected. reassemble the panel. that may fix it. good luck.

I had the same problem, water on shelves inside the refrigerator .
I took apart the back panel in the top freezer compartment.
What I found was a build up of ice in the port that feads the cool air to the refrigerator. Thaw ice of course and installed back panel. I fixed this problem with a little trial and error. Because there was ice in the port feeding the refrigerator coming from the back panel of the freezer there was a condensation problem that should not occur at this part of the refridge . If you get condensation then the melt thaw effect happens causing water to fall into the refridge. I adjusted the cold and colder temp until this effect stopped. An other thing that didn't help to this problem is the door to the freezer not closing properly do to faulty seal on door or over loaded freezer. (cause condensation)
Hope this is help full.

I just opened up the back of my Frigidaire Side by Side counter depth to find the drain hose was bent and collapsed coming right out of the bottom of the freezer and the pan was dry as a bone. It doesn't look like my drain hose has ever drained a drop of water. The freezer bottom is full of ice And the rust and chipping paint under the bottom of the freezer door along with the mysterious puddles of water every morning means the drain system definetely never worked. Frigidaire should be responsible for this. This, along with the ice maker rebuild I had to do,... after ice was spilling all through the fridge. I actually had warrantty left on that one and called customer support in India to find out I could make the repair myself. Yep I had to do it. Frigidaire you failed.

The dripping of water resulted from condensation. Check your tepreature guage and make sure it is set according to user manual.

I recently noticed a problem with my frigidere refridgerator. After 5 years water is dripping inside the appliance. The tempreature remains cold and the freezer continues to work but the dripping of the water is very inconvenient.

What could have gone wrong that is causing this water leakage?

My frigidaire refrigerator is leaking water outside the refrigerator. From the back of this fridge there is a drain pipe which runs down to the water tray. This pipe was pointing outside of the tray which make the water running down to the floor. I put the pipe inside the tray. After, it's working fine!

Frost Shows Uo On Rear Wall Control Also Water Drips From Top Middle Section And I Have Water Build Up On Lower Pan-floor ???

Hi friend, thank you for your post!
Based off your post you are having trouble with frost on your rear wall and water dripping from the top middle section on the inside of your Frigidaire refrigerator. Sounds like you may have a possible problem with an air leak or water leak. I would suggest checking your seal to make sure there is no leak. You can do that by placing a dollar bill between the body of the freezer and door. If the bill comes out easily then the gasket may be causing frost to develop due to an air leak. I would recommend exchanging the gasket out. If the gasket is sealing properly then it could be an issue with the water line and you should perform a manual defrost that could help clear out any restrictions in your water line. To perform a manual defrost you would need to disconnect power from your refrigerator for roughly four to six hours. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Why does my frigidaire washer leak

Hello friend, I appreciate your post!

I see you are asking about a Frigidaire washer leaking but your question is labeled under refrigerators. If your washer is leaking it could be a problem within your motor, water valve, drain pump, or seal inside your washer. If you are speaking about a refrigerator it could be an issue within your water valve, water filter, or an air leak causing condensation.

I would recommend having a professional come out to the home for a proper diagnose and repair. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

Hey friend, thank you for the post!

From my understanding you have water leaking out of the freezer of your Frigidaire refrigerator and onto the floor. I would like to ask you a couple of additional questions. First, do you see where the water is coming from? Secondly, what is the model number of your appliance? You can locate your serial tag (which lists your model number) on the inside cabinet of the fresh food compartment normally on the left side in a top mount. But on a side by side it can be found on the right hand side. I look forward to hearing back from you. -Matt

Water leaking to inside fridge

The water may come from ice that have built up inside the freezer coils or from other items inside the fridge. I suggest to clean it out and check. If it is from ice formation, I advise to have it unplugged for a while and let it melt. Clean it in the process. Once you get the coils and the fridge free your fridge should also run more efficiently.
