Question about JBL On Stage Micro Portable Speaker Dock for Apple iPod - Black

JBL On Stage for iPod

It won't connect to either iPod, I have to plug the iPod into the base of the On Stage and sort of force it down and forward to get any sound. If I let go even one millimeter...no connection and no sound. The iPods are fine with all my other systems.

Suddenly none of my iPods will connect with my speakers. I wiggle them and hear a little static and sometimes a burst of sound. Obviously something is up with the connection, which I've tried to clean to no success.

only noise but no sound when i connect my ipod device

Have same problem. If I hold the ipod and tilt it forward I get sound. If I just let it go and sit on dock, it tilts backward and I don't get any sound.

I put a wedge of paper behind the ipod to hold it in place and that worked but why is it happening?

Hi, I guess that's just a problem that can't be solved by yourself, you'll probably have to bring it back.

I have thesame speakerset, but I don't know how you can remove that thing where the ipod stands in. That plastic thing that comes in a lot of different sizes. I hope that you can help me with removing it and putting an other one in.

Nano not compatible with On Stage

It will actually work, however, you will not be able to dock the iPod® Nano into the JBL On Stage™. You can connect the audio in cable to the headphone jack of your iPod. That's the only way, hope this helps. Pls rate solution. Thanks!!

No Sound from JBL On-Stage 400

The power supply consists of two parts: the AC cord with a two-prong connector on one end and a double barrel plastic connector; and the large rectangular power supply which has a dual prong receptor on the side and a long cable which plugs into the JBL unit.

In my case, I had plugged the double barrel plastic connector into the dual prong receptor backwards. Even though I was getting full power to the unit, this somehow caused the speakers to become inoperative.

Of course, I would offer a recommendation to JBL that their power supplies are made to be "dummy proof" so this does not happen to others as well.

JBL on stage micro will not charge my ipod any more. It plays songs fine from the ipod but for some reason is not charging it. Any suggestions?

The JBL Onstage Micro is supposed to disable recharging of the iPod when running off AAA batteries to avoid draining them, but sometimes this setting gets stuck even when the unit is plugged in through the AC adaptor. The workaround that I found is pulling out and reconnecting the iPod to the Onstage Micro (while both are powered on) and then unplugging and reconnecting the AC adaptor. Sometimes you have to repeat this process, but the iPod should start recharging after that. I tried it on the new 5th generation nano and this seems to work.

When plugged in, the ipod batteries go low immediately.

JBL on stage II speaker doesn't work

If your 120v unit is not marked for use with 220-240v and you plugged it into such a socket (even once), you probably fried the AC adapter and will need to get a replacement.
