Question about Philips HTS3440/37 System

1 Answer

Philips HSY 3440/37 home theater

I am a member of D.A.V. chapter 73 in Woodland Hills California and we bought a system for our Chapter lounge. It worked just fine for about a year and then the sound gave out. Just before the sound gave out, when the unit was turned on, it would have a buzzing sound which would go away after a bit then work.
Is there something I can do to maybe repair the problem rather than taking the whole system back for warrant repairs?

There is an instruction DVD for the VS-2400CD. It is very helpful.

I couldn't have ever worked this board without it. Here's where to buy it;

Sony DVD Home Theater System remote control code

I have the same system and one of my dogs got to the remote. I have a philips PMDVR8/PDVR8 universal remote. I was able to get the dav-hdx265 to turn on/off and do volume up and down by using code 0200. I have not been able to get the DVD functionality to work yet, but I will post if I do.

You have a software problem. When I worked at Philips CEC before we closed I did a lot of those. I have the same unit also. But when we left I didn't take the upgrade disc so I'm stuck as well as you are. I just live with it untill something else happens then I'll deep six it.

Root

"Root" means the player is reading the Root Menu of the Disc, which contains the title information, chapter information, etc - it is nothing to worry about.

Digix Ht-1056A Chapter Pause Problem
