SOURCE: Hotpoint Double Oven ceramic hob

suspect more than one problem. half grill not working may be due to half the element gone open circuit. the other problems could be due to an installation fault. many ovens have links in the connection box which have to be tightened down. this is often overlooked. look at the connection box or terminal strip to check. there is often a diagram of hoiw it should be done adjacent.

SOURCE: timer clock is not illuminated and oven will not work

This does have an internal fuse and there are probably 2 or 3 of them. They should be located right behind the timer or thermostat.

Some have a AAA battery under the button - replace this, others use mains to create the spark, ensure you have the ignition wired up

SOURCE: Hob on my hotpoint oven trips my RCD

It is either a faulty ring, or the regulator that controls it is faulty.
You really need a meter to test the ring with to be certain which part is faulty.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: hello. I have a new hotpoint CIO644 induction hob

Hi

I'm not sure that you really have a problem as with induction hobs you need to put your pan (metal only) with the ingredients in it on the hob before switching the heater on.

it is the pan which will get hot, the ticking may or may not be the pan heating up.

Try it with water only in the pan and see if it works.

ISOLATE the HOB MAINS POWER

This doesn't sound too healthy, do not take risks with electrical appliances, if you spilled a large amount of liquid it may be the liquid has found its way into the regulators on the hob depending on what type. If however it was newly fitted you should be able to claim on the warranty, its worth checking.

Hope this is helpful

Creda problems

Hi, if there is no regulation on the hob, it is typically the switch that is faulty unless halogen, then it could be the thermal cutout.

Gas hob Luce(hotpoint) gas on glass 5ring burners keeps going out on low flame when pull pan drawer beneath out

Same problem with my hob. I adjusted the small jets to their lowest setting in order to be able to simmer -impossible on the bigger jets. The problem is the vents underneath the hob. These can't be closed off so the problem appears to be in the design. The solution I have to use while I save up to by a decent German model is to open and close the cupboard doors underneath the hob very, very slowly.

I have a hotpoint ew 52 cooker and the grill does not work. it is part of the top oven.

I've an EW 71 with exactly the same problem! Halogen ring not working

Hi .
It sounds like the temp control is faulty.
Either way you are going to have to remove the hob top to access the controls and elements, Then you can check if the element is getting a feed to it.

Sometimes you can see if the element has gone, .

If you need any further help, let me know.Good luck.
