Flood lights will not turn off

The two flood lights on my Jenn-Air hood will not turn off. I can dim the lights, but when I press the button again it they resume full lighting. Any suggestions? Is the ballast out?

Flood lights would not turn off.  Had to unplug the unit from the connectors behind the filters.  Once you unplug and plug the unit back, the lights and fan will work.  If you leave it on or turn off the light switch, the flood lights will turn on automatically on low without the ability to shut them off.  To turn it off, you have to unplug the wires again.

SOURCE: Oven light won't turn off

It sounds to me like the switch that operates the light is malfunctioning. You're taking the right steps by pressing the switch by hand. Since that didn't work, either that switch is not working or there is another switch that is intended to keep the light on while the door is closed. You can look at that one too. The last thing to consider is if the light is relay controlled, the relay might be stuck closed and applying power to the light all the time.

I have a EIDW6105GS1 all of the light flash! it did it once before and I thought I reset it somehow! but I cant remember! can you help?

There might be a possibility of resetting by pressing High Temp button 5 times. But I don't think this may solve the problem.

All lights flashing could mean a flood detection. This means water is leaking into the base of dishwasher. The flood switch has to be dried to make it work again. Also need to find the source of the leak. Make sure dishwasher is disconnected from mains power before attempting to work in it.

I ran out of gas, stupid i know ( my husbands going to shoot me) Is there a quik fix to getting to start now. It has gas, but of course the fuel injection is messed up now.

hi try some injection redX or something like that, this should clear the injectors and get the fuel flowing, just a tip, now it has fuel in, you want to press the gas peddle all the way to the floor and turn it over don't pump it just hold it down with your foot( turn key in ignition that is lol ) this will help "flood" the system with fuel and help it start the way, when i say flood, that's just loosely termed flood, it dose not actually flood it, just puts a little extra fuel into the pots....hope this helps please comment and rate thank

How to light pilot for oven in 1950's roper delux

If it is an insta-light, I just rebuilt a Roper that age, the instructions are to turn off oven heat control, wait two minutes, locate red button which you have done, apply match to pilot, depress red button for 5 seconds and that should keep pilot light on, the instruction manual states to hold match for 60 seconds prior to pushing button, then hold for 5 seconds, either way, you don't want to flood the area with raw gas, and yet still apply enough heat long enough to lock in pilot, has the gas line been loose? Make sure it is purged of air, again, don't flood area with raw gas, it is pretty typical pilot procedure, the worst part is finding the red button, usually behind a burner cover. So try holding the button a bit longer with your match on it, some take a while, worst is the control has gone bad, but there are replacement valves for this vintage, I did check,

Sounds like you have the Dual Brite on, the dual brite is low level accent lighting. Check to see if you have this switched on, if so turn it off.
