Question about LG WD-3243RHD Front Load Washer / Dryer

2 Answers

I have an LG WD-1457RD washer/dryer with a cracked drain hose. After about 4 years the hose wore at a curve about half way along it's length. Unfortunately it's too short to cut there as it won't reach the sink. I would like to either splice the hose or change it myself. Option 1 would work but I can't seem to get my splice to hold, would a small piece of connector tubing with hose clamps work the best. In terms of replacing the hose, I can't seem to figure out how to get access to where the hose attaches inside the machine (front right corner behind the filter panel). Is there an easy way to get to it? Is it like the LG WM3677 at this link http://www.fixya.com/support/t1416783-lg_wm3677hw_pump_problem ? Thanks so much. Adele

Hi there, yes I feel this is insufficient. Having me pay $20 to point me to a web site to download a manual for an additional fee does not answer my question. I am familiar with web sites where you can pay to get the manual but elected to try and get help here first.

    Kindest regards,
    Adele

I would use hose clamps. That will hold really good. The drain hose attaches to a plastic piece on the pump housing. Water inlet hoses attach to the water inlet valves.

You can go to partselect . com or repairclinic.com and view free diagrams

I have an LG WD-1457RD washer and dryer and it shrinks all of my clothes, Possibly Temperature problem?

Very few driers have temperature controls. The best way to stop this happening is to run it for less time. Take the clothes out when they are still very slightly damp. If you hang them up straight away, you will find that most wont need ironing. Some dryers allow you to set the amount of moisture in the clothes when they shutoff, but they generally are the most expensive ones.

My washer lg wd-3245rhd will not drain, not even from the manual hose close to pump filter.

You have 2 problems. The manual drain hose is plugged with debris and cannot drain out. You will have to pull the hose out and clean it out.
The other problem is the either drain filter is plugged or the drain pump is broken. You will have to pull the drain filter out and allow all the water to pour onto the floor to check the drain filter. If the drain filter is clean, then you have a broken drain pump and needs to be replaced.
Good luck

LG Washer/Dryer won't drain

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

My LG Washer and Dryer has OE what does it means?

According to the handbook: drain hose is kinked or clogged; the drain filter is clogged.
Solution: clean and straighten the drain hose; clean the drain filter.
I have tried both but have not yet solved the problem.

Here is the Service Manual

Bonus, it actually completes a wash cycle and does not stick at 6 minutes, drying forever.

Freakin service tech stated it was the Power Control Board, IDIOT!

While I was in there, I cleaned out the heater blower assembly and sensors. They were full of caked on lint and the sensors had debris all over them.

Also cleaned out all the lint and debris around the rubber seal, this will eliminate those annoying mildew oders.

Hope this helps someone, Happy New Year!

LG WD-8016C Front Load Washer leaks from the bottom

Crawls, usually all leaks are visible. Im surprised the repairman did not actually get to the source of it. Your drain pump sits on the bottom and it possibly could be the filter cap, hoses to the pump or pump itself. Another area to check is the despensor. There are a number of hoses to this which could be leaking. The bellow itself could have a cut in it somewhere along the bottom. I would call the repairman back and have him at least get to the source of the leak...Catriver..post back.
