I work for a school, updating keys on existing TE-2400 registers. Simple setup - 53 items, all same department. Have programmed prices and names but having some issues. They previously had keys set up for...

Whew! Where do I start... Okay, reports.
Daily PLU (item): Turn key to z, type 14 then press CASH (if it isn't a PLU report, try 15 CASH, I'm going from memory). For the periodic report, turn to Z2 and try the same thing. If you haven't been printing these reports, the first one will be big, so ignore the first report.
To clear condiment links, try this: Turn key to program mode 3 SUBTOTAL 0 Now press one of the items that has a condiment link SUBTOTAL
Now turn the key back to REG and try it. If it works, then you can do it to the other PLUs that have condiment links. This method may remove the department link, so if you want to use departments, you may need to link it back to dept 1. See how you get on.

Hi Mark. You instructed me to set the department names but i haven't got a clue if where is department key like the ones for Flat PLU button key. Please help! Thanks. Clarence

Sorry, I didn't know you hadn't worked with departments yet.
Key to program 2 SUBTOTAL Now type the dept number on the numeric keys (i.e just press 1 for dept 1) 05 SUBTOTAL Now type the new name for that dept 00 (double zero button) CASH SUBTOTAL

Hi Mark. Got the Department report, print-out read as follows: P06 P02 00001-0006 First line Vegetable 0001-05. Second line DEPT1 0002-05. Third line DEPT4 0003-05. Fourth line DEPT3 0004-05. Fifth line...

Okay, then it sounds like you haven't setup your departments before linking to them. Set the dept names then do a Z report again to clear it. Then use it in REG mode and check another Z report to see if the dept names are coming up correctly in the report after programming

Hi Mark. I got the report but not sure though how to read it. The report read as follows: P06 P03 Item1 0001-04, 11-66 0001. Item2 0002-04, 11-66 0002. Item3 0003-04, 11-66 0003. Item4 0004-04, 11-66 0004....

Okay. 11-66 is the link so it all looks good there. PLU1 is linked to dept1 PLU2 is linked to Dept 2 etc. Next, print out your depts and check that you have named them correctly:
turn key to program 6 SUBTOTAL 205 SUBTOTAL 1 CASH 6 CASH CASH

Hi Mark, I start setting items with amounts to flat Plu001 – 006 and for test purposes I link to Department 1 – 6 as well e.g. flat PLU001 link to Dept 1, flat PLU002 link to Dept 2 upto flat PLU006 link...

In that case, you want to check that you have linked them correctly.
Turn key to program. 6 SUBTOTAL 304 SUBTOTAL 1 CASH 6 CASH CASH
This should print the status details for the first 6 PLUs. Check to see that the department link is the way you programmed it.

Zonet kvm 3002: pc starts while posting says keyboard error, continues to start, mouse okay to use, press 1 keyboard button, both mouse and keyboard freeze. Flip the kvm button to other pc fine.....tried...

Only seen this once before and it turned out to be a legacy setting in BIOS of all places. On I had set the bios to be able to use usb devices in boot up (not same as boot from usb !) Then everything was fine.

Maybe take a look at that and report back
