SOURCE: Zebra Z4M continuously feeds paper and errors out.

Hello,

It seems like you have a bad upper/lower media sensor or you need to adjust or clean it. If you remove your media and ribbon from the printer you will see two sensor's right behind the printhead. Printhead will need to be in the open position to see them. They should be emitting a red light. Clean and recalibrate. If that doesn't work it should the two sensors. They come in a kit. And just to be on the safe side you can call in to my technical support team to verify that is your problem. Its Free as long as parts that are needed are ordered thru us.

If you have any other questions please feel free to call.

The printer driver should be set to Continuous or it will think it is still Gap or Black Mark. Please adjust accordingly

My Zebra ZDesigner LP2844 feeds a blank label after printing a label. How do I make it stop doing that?

Define your label size correctly. Measure your LABEL exactly, do not include the backing paper or the gap. Calibrate the printer. HOW?
Power off printer. Press and hold the green feed button down and power printer on. Count one, two and release green button. The printer will calibrate and move labels and then print some stuff on the label. Wait until it has comletely stopped. wait another few seconds and the press the feed key once. The printer will print "out of dump". You should now be ready to print again.

How to calibrate the label in QL320 plus zebra printer? How to make it only feed 1 label per print?

create a text file called Calibrate.txt and in the text file type this:
~JC
^XA
^JUS
^XZ

then send the file to the printer using label vista.
this will then print 3 - 4 labels and stop.
once u press the feed button it will only feed one label.

You have something down in the unit or the roller carrier is broken - you must pull it apart or turn it upside down and shake it - after you will find something that will either fall out of it - like a paper clip or something of that nature or a bolt has come loose.

Best of it

Zebra Printer TLP 2844-Z - Will not print from application - prints SM 10 53 4D

Hold the feed button while turning on the printer. After a config label prints, turn the printer off and then on again, and try printing again.

Also, make sure the lid is closed far enough to engage the lid sensor. If the red light comes on again, press down a bit on the lid, hit the feed button and try to print again.

make sure you have selected the correct media in the printer driver. The tracking mode has 3 options, (1) Web Sensing (Cut Labels), (2) Mark Sensing (Black marks on back of liner) and (3) Continuous . In your case select continuous. It sounds like the printer is in the wrong media mode and is feeding labels looking for a mark or gap and when it doesn't find one it flags a media error.
