Remove bios password on Toshiba Satellite M115-S3144

I agree with Ginko. I had one that someone brought to me, and I removed the CMOS battery. This one was actually soldered to the motherboard. I melted the solder, removed contact to the motherboard, and re-soldered the battery to the motherboard. This fixed it.

This happened to my Sister's Toshiba laptop, it's just coincidence that it happened to you when reinstalling Windows. The only solution is to short out the CMOS battery on the motherboard. Doing this will probably void your warranty, so I cannot detail how it's done, however google is a great resource. I warn you though, shorting the wrong things on a motherboard can permanently ruin your laptop.

Toshiba Satellite M115 S3094 Notebook how reset bios

To reset BIOS take the battery out, if that does not work you will have to reset jumper J1.

In case none of the both worked to reset BIOS you can use thrid party software from Hiren's Boot CD to reset the password. You've got Kill CMOS on there, for example which wipes out CMOS. Here's the download link to the entire CD: http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/Hirens.BootCD.12.0.zip

I think the only way you can reset the bios is to momentarily short the cmos battery and apply main power to laptop.
Of course to do that ,you will need to dissemble the laptop.

remove the cmos ( small battery on the mother board) for about 10 min.
You usually have to take laptop completly apart (but check under ever possoble place first keyboard, all covers on bottom etc) it also need to have the main battery out and be unplugged for the whole time.
